Heroes and Handbags: Are You a Hero? Donate bags for a good cause!

Start your year right and help others in need! As you may know by now, I am on the committee of Heroes and Handbags Luncheon benefiting Heroes for Children, a nonprofit organization providing direct financial and social assistance to families, within the state of Texas, with children (0-22 yrs of age) battling cancer.

I am writing to ask all of you to assist in our silent auction. Any designer and/or retailer who donates a bag for auction will receive an editorial on Bagsnob.com with link back to their choice of website.  The luncheon is on April 9th 2010 this year-- so please contact me asap and let me know if you are a HERO!

This is an amazing organization, many families of children with cancer can not afford to maintain their monthly bills while their child is undergoing treatment. Some have to take a leave of absence from work in order to care for their child and some may lose their jobs permanently. Heroes for Children provides direct financial support to these families so they can focus on their children! So you want to know how YOU can be a hero? There are many ways to be involved~

1. Donate directly
2. Donate New or Vintage Designer Handbags for the Auction
3. Volunteer!

I challenge all of you to be Heroes! All readers who donate cash or designer bags for the auction will be featured on Bag Snob with a link to a website of your choice. All Bag designers who donate bags will also receive extensive editorials on the site leading up to the event in April.

If you live in North Texas, you can buy a ticket (or a table) to the luncheon on April 3rd at the Ritz hotel.

Thank you!
