Hello, Gucci… it’s been years since we’ve bonded but I never forgot the thrill you used to bring me with each new season of bags. Back in the 90′s, I’d stand in the Gucci store, tingling from head to toe, knowing I’d go home with something fabulous each time and that you’d never fail me. Though I felt betrayed when you strayed (must I recount the tacky bags of the past? Let’s let sleeping dogs lay), the new Jungle collection brings me a glimmer of hope for you and most importantly, for our relationship. I like what you’ve done with the iconic bamboo details, it’s clearly Gucci but doesn’t detract from the casually chic shoulder bag. This obviously was a well thought out design– the chain is removable (thank you, because there are days that I am not feeling so rock star-ish) and the single adjustable strap (15 3/4″) will fit over shoulders or cross body. Most importantly, I am excited that you provided two open pockets (tastefully hidden by the flap) to fit my Kindle and iPhone. The only other thing we must discuss is the price of your bags but… baby steps. At least you are headed in the right direction.

I like Rebecca Minkoff’s BELOVED as a cross body and it’s a better price. This Gucci bag looks very similar to it.
I think it is a cute bag! Not quite my style, I must admit I am a but of a logo freak lol but I love the understated beauty of this piece. It is a timeless bag!

I haven’t bought a Gucci in ages. BUT, but, when I saw this bag, I was intrigued. I am always looking for a new/great travel bag, and this might be a new contender. When I clicked on the link, it took me to Saks.. but only in cream, which is beautiful btw..Neiman’s has it in the orange and in black.. I love orange.. but the cream is really beautiful.. now I have to decide which one…
I like the cream color better. However, there are a few details too many to my taste.
