Gianfranco Ferré is not the first brand that comes to my mind when it comes to bags– which makes this bag such a delightful surprise! I saw the ad above last week and could not stop thinking about the casually elegant gold bag carelessly tossed on the model’s shoulder. The overall slouchiness lends a devil may care attitude and the size and shape makes it perfect for work or play. After a bit of detective work, I found out the bag is called P 24/7 from Gianfranco Ferré. It’s a functional and multi-use bag with torchon handle that also converts to over the shoulder strap, may be worn on the wrist or be carried by hand like a shopper. You know we love multifunction bags and this one also has many hidden interior compartments to boot! When I found out the price, however, my enthusiasm dampened. The brown suede version is a whopping $5,170.00 and the gold one I’m panting for is $4,435. That’s right, and in case you’re wondering, that’s in US dollars. What do you think of it?

thats one too many digits for this bag, cute as it may be.
that looks like corduroy… cute as it is, suede is hard to take care of and doesnt last long enough for the $$$
it would be ten times cuter if it wasnt striped to look like a pair of corduroy overalls from elementary school
Agreed, way too expensive.
Love the look. Hate the price.
Is there something wrong with the exchange ratios. It’s not worth 5k. Very ridiculous. I would love to see what you guys have loved for spring and resort in bags and clothes. Sometimes you do segments on five pieces +/-, if I recall correctly
It is cute, and functional, but way too expensive. If it’s $4k/$5k, it better be made out of python or something and not suede. And at that price, you’re also better off getting something classic like Chanel. Or just save it up for a Birkin, or something.
The first thing that came to my mind was corduroy too. Price is way too high something that looks like it was made from my grandfather’s old jacket.
I have seen this bag in other place, the P24/7 bag is really a functional and multi-use bag, and my sister also has this one.
Nice bag but not at that price point.
Gianfranco Ferre is always on my radar and their fall 09 bags were very modern and reflected the theme of tailoring and details that Gianfranco has been known for. Their RTW is just as lovely, but I digress.
$5K is silly, but the concept is solid. Similar bags can be found via Burberry, Tods and Bally.
