How cute are these Coach bags!? Finally, it makes sense
that they own 65% market share in the bag world (yup, you read it
correctly, in the bag industry– Coach is king). Now it’s no secret we
have not been huge fans– but these bags are certainly changing our
minds. We are excited to see the direction the brand is taking with
minimal logos and chic designs and hope to see more in the future. We
agreed to join their Blog-a-day Holiday promotion along with some of
our favorite blogs including Web Snobbers Second City Style and Stiletto Jungle– check out the 30 featured blogs here!
Coach also offered us each a bag as gifts but you all know we do not accept bags in exchange for positive reviews.
So we asked to give the bags to our readers instead! We combed through
the entire Coach Holiday catalog and came up with our two favorite
styles of the season. The BROOKE tote in crackled metallic leather ($498) and the KRISTIN tote in plum ($598)– they will go to two lucky Bag Snob readers!

Wow, what a nice surprise. The metallic tote looks like something from Burberry’s Fall 09 collection, and the plum reminds of something from Chloe in another day or time. Good stuff… more please!

Most of the Coach leather bags don’t look tacky and cheap like their canvas logo bags. My favorite is the Brooke tote in crackled metallic leather. That chain-leather handle just gets me!
I adore the new coach holiday collection everything looks like a great investment in classic yet unique styles. I especially love the metallics and the chunky colored neutral bags. I would love to win!
Not surprisingly, you have made excellent selections! I would carry either one happily, but I would not carry a Coach logo print handbag — they are far too ubiquitous.

I like them. Coach has always been too much abt their signature look and it’s abt time they went in a new direction. I love designer bags but I don’t really want someone to be able to tell who’s bag I carry from 100 ft away. What is wrong with you people? Is it because you are so happy that it is at least not those ugly bags that Coach usually makes or because it is a give away, that a boring,boring nothing special bag makes you all so exited?
I agree with you about the pictures looking good because it doesn’t have the usual Coach branding and logos. These look like really good and sturdy yet beautiful purses. They would be great everyday work purses but will also look good for special occasions. I must say I am really impressed with Coach! now if only I could afford their purses.

I used to think that all I ever wanted to see in coach was the classic C pattern on the purses and that I would never want just a “plain” purse but I was quite surprised when coach came out with the latest things. I cannot tell you how much in love I am with some of the all leather bags over the classic C bags. They have completely changed my mind of what I like in their bags. Both of these bags are Beautiful. I think that my wife would especially like the brooke tote as she loves purple. I like that the bags allow for a lot of room to carry all her stuff that she needs to carry around with her, but at the same time, the bags are stylish and well made.

I noticed that a lot of you ladies share the opinion that Coach had gotten “over-logoed” during the past few years and you’re a bit tired of the signature collection. I agree! I too, would like to see more lovely leather, and I am glad they’re finally doing that again. They should stay focused on that because its what they were originally known for. I was wondering if any of you have emailed Coach about this? If not, you should. Every company needs customer feedback. How will they grow without knowing what their customers respond to? Your opinions are worth something, and they should hear them. (I just ordered the Brooke in taupe/beige leather…yummy! The metallic one is awesome too!)

I’ve loved Coach bags for years but was getting tired of the logo covered look. I don’t want to be someone’s brand. I just want to wear a look that suits me. The new Coach bags offer a stylish variety.

I became a Coach carrier back in the 80′s along with St. John Knits when First Lady Nancy Reagan helped to popularize them. The problem, IMHO of late with Coach is there have been so many illegal street sellings of them (not to mention Ebay). I live in NJ and *everybody* has what they *think* are Coach bags..most are the horrible canvas signatue allover type…uggh. Many people knowingly buy these illegal fakes to support their egos, and unfortunately it harms the company and the client who desires to purchase a true quality product. Another problem may be the outlets. Years ago when companies had “seconds” they were destroyed not passed along to the consumer at a discounted price…they had pride in quality and workmanship. I long for the soft, supple leathers and fine hardwares (the hardware on the black left bag to me appears cheap). A company needs to “find itself” and stay their and not flop around like a fish out of water with different trends. A fine handbag is like a fine piece of art, or should be and will last many years. Coach at this point is a middleclass bag and over the past few years thanks to the masses has been placed in the lowerclass. Hopefully, the company will be able to ressurect itself to its former quality and craftsmanship.

I really love both of these bags. They are totally what i would want to win. I’ve always admired COACH ever since i was younger but i was never able to get one. Our family didnt have enough money to buy one of these expensive bags. I think the black one is really cute and could go with almost any outfit and the purple bag can stand out if you wanted to be different. I really pray to god I can win one of these bags it would mean a lot. But If i dont win one of these bags i will still be happy for whoever else won because they were blessed with a wonderful popular purse.

I am in loooove with the Brooke collection! I just got my taupe/beige leather one about 2 weeks ago, and yesterday I bought the khaki/beige op-art Brooke wristlet to use as a really nice cosmetic bag that matches my purse. I’m so happy with them both, they’re relaxed yet chic, and the color goes so well with everything, even though all my clothes are black (sometimes I like a bit of subtle contrast with the bag I carry). This is my 3rd Coach bag, and my 2nd Coach wristlet. Ladies, if you’re gonna buy a Brooke, hurry and do so if you can, because they’re selling out FAST…and its a limited-edition collection, so you won’t see it in the stores again once its gone. Coach had a huge hit with Brooke line, and it looks like the chic Kristin line is doing well too. And check out the new Peyton collection…nice!

I really enjoyed your post and the pictures are great, as they really are both good looking totes, whether for casual or dress. However, my favorite of the two is the Kristin, plum color and the outside pocket are what caught my eye. I did not realize that Coach totes owns 65% shares in the market world, that says a lot.
