Marc Jacobs Beaded Daisy Shoulder Bag

marcjacobs_beadeddaisyshoulderbag.jpg I'm tired of beating on Marc, honestly, I am-- but this bag, the Beaded Daisy bag, is too funny to pass up.  I've held off for a week now, since Kelly just ragged on him (we don't want to seem like we're picking on MJ now!) and I've been like a caged bull dog, growling every time I look at photos of this whack job of a craft project; anxious to rip it to shreds.  Since when did marbles and shoelaces represent high fashion?  Has MJ completely run out of ideas for $2,000 bags that he had to turn to Hobby Lobby for inspiration!?  Not that there is anything wrong with Hobby Lobby but the bags there costs, like, $5.  I read today that unlike math, there is no right or wrong in the arts, which I guess would be the only argument for this bag.  It's art... at least that's what he wants you to think. Marc Jacobs Beaded Daisy Shoulder Bag is $1,995.00 at Saks.

  • That is quite honestly one of the most horrible looking things I have ever seen. I mean... it looks like boy scouts put it together.

Wow. That is really and truly awful. Looks like a mass of bungee cords for a handle.

Let's not insult the Boy Scouts. They would have done a better job.

  • God that is one awful mess

Wow. This bag is its own special kind of ugly.

  • What's with all the fugly Marc Jacobs bags lately? Check out this monstrosity! http://www.bagpoor.com/2009/12/marc-jacobs-fluorescent-tweed-bag.html

  • I'm gonna go out on a limb and stand by Marc Jacobs here--and not because I necessarilly like all the new bags he's cranking out lately. I don't. I do applaud him for taking risks, though, and not being afraid to make mistakes. Success doesn't come without failure. And honestly, although I wouldn't pay much for this particular bag, if it were given to me as a gift I'd still carry it. Go Marc!

I am a great fan of Marc JACOBS , and I totally agree with Jennifer. ALL designers make mistakes even the great K! So give Marc a break. I must say though he is daring enought to make such bags and like it or not the super trendy uber rich will still be buying this bag. LOVE YA MARC!!
