Balenciaga Holiday City

I'm sure Balenciaga meant well when they created the Holiday City Bag, I mean you can not fault one's generous spirit of the holidays (or can you?)!  But as a bag consumer, I'm incredibly offended that anyone would think this is appropriate to use at any time, even over the holidays (thank god I have not seen any reindeer sweaters this year).  At the risk of being a total bitch, I'm thinking this is what happened at the design meeting at the House of Balenciaga when this bag was conceived.  Nicolas G: "Zee world is tired of zee city bag, but we must continue zee tradition!".  Accessories designer one: "Maybee we make a bag zat zee stupid Americains will love, zay lovee zee Christmas and zee 4th of July!"  Nicolas G: "Zat is brilliant!  Make zee colors so zat we can sell it for zee year, not just one season."  Accessories designer 2: "Yes yes, we do it in zee red and zee green for zee Christmas and add zee bleu so zay can also use for zee Independence Day!"
