This is a serious tote. As in, seriously awesome!! When you get it just right, you don't need fancy dangling details. All you need is a classic shape, this one being a little more interesting than a typical doctor bag, and fantastically beautiful textured ostrich! I am a bit torn by the Prada logo, yes, this old school triangle logo is very "Prada" but for something this timeless, couldn't they just make an exception and use the embossed logo instead? I'm not sure what is going on with that slit on the top of the bag, seems strange but is intriguing. I am being nit picky about this bag because it is so close to being perfect and for this kind of investment, it has to be. Of course I love the cobalt but the mais is the better choice for longevity. At Neiman Marcus for $5,850.

  • That blue ostrich tote is perfection! You certainly raise a valid point about the logo though and I have to agree with you.

  • The slit is actually for the clochette. You put it in there so it doesn't dangle.

  • Interesting. I just received a phone call from Luisa at NM in Florida regarding this bag. She's emailing me pics right now. I love the cobalt blue as well. I HATE the PRADA logo. It's totally unnessary.

  • Cheerful colors, absolutely for the sunny regions of our world. Do you think that the logo-really disturbing-could be removed ? Why not place it inside!

  • that blue is fierce. beyond fierce. i must have.

  • what's wrong with the logo? I think it's just appropriate to recognize the bag as prada, especially for not something classic like this. We have to keep in mind this is not hermes, that even without the logo/name, will be recognize as hermes.

  • It's quite big for a tote bag but it's prada so it really doesn't matter.

  • Walked into Prada store in Milan last week and the blue ostrich immediately caught my attention. Was very close to purchase it but in the end, as Tina said, the logo kinda put me off. Also, the interior of the bag was very bare (I prefer more pockets). The bag costs Euro3,500 there so definitely cheaper than US.. :)

  • It seems like a great bag which is easy on the hands and smooth leather as well. I bought my first ostrich leather bag (a hidesign ) a year ago n it felt greattt!! love the feel n smoothness of these bags n the make of this particular tote is just perfect!!

  • Bright colors and innovative styling is what make Prada a sought after brand. I like the blue color and the shape of the bag. It seems to be very roomy.
