Above Madonna is pictured sporting Dolce & Gabbana’s S/S 2010 Miss Sicily bag. The Sicily has been very popular with stars recently with everyone from Eva Mendes to Peaches Geldof sporting the F/W 2009 version pictured on the right. The current version of the Miss Sicily retails for $1,895. It’s a bit too conservative for my taste and I’m not a fan of the shine or the logo plaque (though without the plaque the bag would be a total snooze). I do like the hardware by the handle/top of the bag and the handle itself is well-made. Over-all though I’m not quite understanding why the Miss Sicily has become so popular with celebs.
What do you think of the Miss Sicily? Snob or Slob?
I agree that it is not that exciting a bag. Madonna is probably wearing the bag in large part because she is modeling for Dolce & Gabbana’s spring advertising campaign.

Looks like the Fendi Peekaboo or the Longchamp Gatsby to me. I love the shape but D&G ruin it for me with the trashy patent finish and gold hardware.
