Khirma Eliazov Oversized Cha-Cha

Tina says that we are getting boring with all the same blah blah blah. Yes, too much of a good thing does get stale even if it is Chanel, Hermes, Bottega Veneta. I am always interested in smaller designers because they go out on a limb and sometimes comes up with a big wow. This giant tote with stingray detail on the front is amazingly bold and fantastic. How great is this seemingly simple feature? If you're the type that won't buy anything unless you are sure to not only turn heads but whip them around, pound for pound this is a bargain (another bonus for buying small designers), an exotic look with the stingray for only $1395. Wow, right? At Khirma Eliazov (no idea how to say that).

  • The Eye of Sauron

    • Yes, that's right; it *is* the Eye of Sauron. Why would you want a bag that stares at people?

I also don't like this weird trend of sticking an outsize pouch on the outside of the bag. I take your point about trying new things, but this is a big no for me.

  • Nyl and mq beat me to it. ;-P

  • SLOB!

  • hmm...I really just don't like stingray on my bags, feels like sandpaper...keep the stingrays in the ocean!

  • Not trying to be gross, but it reminds me of female anatomy.

  • Thanks for switching it up... not a huge fan of stingray but I love seeing new designs and designers!

  • My first thought was to agree with Alison. My second thought was to agree with Leah.
Thanks for bringing in new designers!

  • Ugh, this bag is gross. Really a bad one.

  • thats so weird, i just bought this bag last week and was wondering how you never did a post on khirma eliazov! the leather is fantastically soft, the finishing is impeccable and the shagreen is divine! It looks so much better when you wear it with the cross strap, though

  • I like the grey bag, but why did they have to superglue my Jalda bean stingray bag onto it???

Ahhhm, I LOVE that you are all inclusive and can mix it up with a little CHANEL/YSL etc, but then take time to find and feature new designers (who God knows need any type of press they can get).

Is that stingray piece a pocket flap cover or is it the pocket itself? Either way, this bag reminds me of Rebecca Minkoff and then I think the closure on top is reminiscent of the Marc Jacobs stam? Considering that I neither appreciate Rebecca Minkoff nor Marc Jacobs, this certainly isn't any different.

I must admit however, that the black on black version on the website is a lot more palletable than the putty/black version fetaured here.

  • This bag is hot! the stingray adds an amazing textured detail to the bag.the pic doesn't give the stingray justice how beaded it looks in person

I understand how most of you bag snobs couldn’t possibly let go of your dated quilted leather Chanel's and the ever so over-used studded handbag and try to appreciate something new and innovative

I bought my first eliazov a couple months ago and wear it everyday. I am still a huge fan and so is Sienna Miller

but what does fashion trendsetter Sienna know about new hot bags anyway....... everything she touches turns into gold!!!
