Jimmy Choo for H&M Bags

I went to the VIP Jimmy Choo for H&M shopping event this past Friday -- the day before the line officially launched in stores. It was super-fun (I got to meet Christian Siriano! He's so friendly though I felt like a giant standing next to him!), but as I said over on Couture Snob where I wrote about the line's clothing pieces, it was pretty chaotic though the H&M staff was super friendly and helpful. I can't imagine what it must have been like on the non-press event launch, especially given that the collection made its debut on a Saturday. People were literally spending thousands of dollars (which at H&M means you're buying a looot), and snapping-up everything in sight. I bought the pink clutch that Paris Hilton is carrying in the photo above ($59.95). It's cute in a very Barbie-esque way. The only downer is that it's a bit small (it does though, for those that are wondering, have room for a Blackberry). Overall while the quality of the handbags is not the best, for the price-points you can't really complain given that they're spot-on style-wise (especially the zebra clutch! I would have so gotten it if I didn't have something similar from Dolce & Gabbana already).

What do you think about the Jimmy Choo for H&M line? Did you shop the collection on Saturday?

  • I wish I was able to make it to the H&M for the Jimmy Choo line! I was curious to see what fab things that came out. I had seen the "sneak" preview of pictures and the handbags looked great but wanted to see them in real life.
Hopefully I can make the next designer event at H&M... Thanks for the updates!

  • Pink handbag is ab fab, I was lucky to get it!
Quality of the shoes, I would say so-so, but leather dress is amazing! Can't wait for the next H&M collaboration!

I stopped by H&M this past Tuesday and the Collaboration was cute, aspects were but there were others that weren't all that FABULOUS!!! The one thing I loved was the Bags that she made for Men!!! They were alright, though the one I liked was in Suede, which I refuse to buy. The reason being, because it is impossible to keep clean!!!

  • I saw a man walked out of h&m store with a HUGE shopping bags w/ "Jimmy choo for H&M" on it! i asked him what was it inside? he says he got pink clutch, star clutch, shoes, and some jewelry for his girlfriend!! he is so lucky to get them today!! everyone in SF know him as rich man! geez.............

  • jimmy Choo has always remained my favorite. lately purchased one of them from H& M.

  • I bought the electric blue caged heels. I wore them once and the blue wore out and turned silver where my toes were. So they look old! I know they werent super pricey, but for $150, I've had way cheaper quality shoes hold up better. I was pretty disappointed.
