Really? Was this necessary? Do we need yet another incarnation of the formerly iconic but now over done, over exposed Arena bag??? A bag designer (who shall remain nameless) marveled at Balenciaga's ability to cash in on a single bag silhouette for almost a decade and expressed a desire to create something that has the same shelf life. From a business standpoint that is the ideal of course, make one bag over and over and over again!? Why not!? But at some point you have to ask your self, am I a designer? Or a factory? Yes, I agree that the Arena was the ultimate cool bag in its day (having 2 of them myself) but seriously, if you are running out of ideas-- it is time to move on. This patchwork version lacks imagination, style and any sense for that matter. Chanel did this with the classic flap bag once and it didn't bode well for them, either. I'm not saying I hate the Arena bag, I'm just saying I hate this one. I know, such a strong word and I discourage my son from using it but right now it's the only way I can express how I feel about this hideous bag. Look closely, the patches are of every color of Arena ever made so I guess I should give them points for recycling scrap leather. At Barneys $2,345.

Patchwork takes a pretty designer bag and turns it into something you would buy at the County Turnip Fair. Me no likey.
Reminds me of a Lucky bag I saw out last year.
This is a crime against fashion.
Oh no, just no. Completely cheapens the bag.
I, too, discourage my kids from using the word the HATE. they even refer to it as the H word. And, I, too, must say that I hate this bag. Ouch.....all those poor people who will buy it at half off, since so many will be around, and we'll all be like, "Oh, there goes that bag we hate...."

Very nice bag. I like this kind of plain but chic design.
Omg! Horrendous and a total WTF were they thinking!

well said, but "hate" is such a strong word.
I don't get "patchwork" for a bag. Name one good patchwork bag.
such an expensive eye sore.....
sooo tacky.
UGLY !
Looks like the blanket on the lazy-boy at my in-laws house.
OMG!!! I can't stand patchwork and most definitely agree - move on....
What does this have to do with anything?
TWO good patchwork bags: MIU MIU - the nappa patch bag in multicolors from '08 and the Harlequin bags ('07 - 08)
Memaw's bag from Wal Mart
See I think Patchwork with the Right Construstion and Outfit is very Bohemian and I like that look. Never on me, but on others as well!!!
Balenciaga needs to get over this bag and start over, because he is doing the Brand a Disjustice with this bag!!!
