FRUGAL SNOB: Heidi Klum + Curations Croco-Embossed Patent Tote

user-pic
heidiklumcurationsbag.jpg heidiklumcurations.jpgOkay, that proves it. Heidi Klum can make anything look fabulous, even a faux croco embossed bag with a giant butterfly on it. It's not that bad but just looks so... shiny. Thank god that butterfly key ring is removable-- it's a decent bag to run around with if you can get over it is PVC (vegetarians will love it)-- and it is very baby friendly (don't be a moron like me and keep baby bottles in your birkin, that did not turn out well for my Rouge H).

This is a super low price point so please don't bitch at me-- skip on to the 'latest snob' bags if you want luxury. I've been asked repeatedly to offer really inexpensive frugal snob bags and this is as frugal as I can get.  Unless you want those bags at Target for $39.99 which I've tried to write about but just can't bring myself to (yet).  This one was tough, too-- I'm just featuring it to show that when a gorgeous supermodel is asked to carry something, it will look fabulous.  It comes in 5 colors but when dealing with faux anything-- stick with black or a dark color (there is a green that is interesting).

Okay snobs, unleash it on me.  Snob or Slob?

  • Tina, I agree with you..it looks great on Heidi and so practical. I also have my "kids friendly" bags including my Tod messenger style nylon bag and even bags from chinatown! Less expensive bags can still be tasteful.

  • I Agree with you, Ping! She probably has juice boxes and half eaten bags of pretzels in there for the kiddies just out of karate. No sense in putting those in a nicer bag, but no need to sacrifice style either.

I am lol, poor birkin. I like this bag, may get the black.

  • I like this bag

  • I wonder how she came about owning that bag! It looks fine on her, but still, where was she shopping that she saw it?

I am thinking maybe she had pregnancy insomnia, was watching late night tv, and ordered it on Home Shopping Network?
Or maybe it was gifted (probably).

  • I bet the bag was given to her by the Curations woman. I can't think of her name-- Is it Stephanie. She formally owned Scoop, I think. The style is OK. I totally get caring around food, etc for your child. If the leather looks like those Target designer bags. I just can't go there, because I'm a Bag Snob!

This is as frugal as you can get?

Designer bags have there place- but style is something a woman is born with, not bought! This bag is terrible. Any stylish frugal snob could do MUCH better! Need an intern? LOL
