Reese Witherspoon's Marni Balloon Cross-Body: Snob or Slob?

From People.com

Reese Witherspoon has been photographed on a number of occasions wearing the Marni Balloon Cross-Body Bag ($1,000) designed in collaboration with Kim Gordon. A few of you expressed wishing to see how the bag looks in action back when Bag Snob Kelly wrote about it, so here you have it! I don't really understand why Marni keeps bragging about this being an "unlined must-have" -- why in the world is being unlined a good thing!?? I like the leather edges and the brown and white contrast, but the price just doesn't fit the design. I have a bunch of old Kate Spade canvas bags that I got for 1/3 of the price back in her heyday (she collaborated with Haagen-Dazs and some artists a few years back which resulted in some fun canvas bags). I also think the bag only works as a cross-body because you'd kill your hands wearing it any other way (and it's too small to fit on your wrist).

What do you think about Reese's Marni? Snob or Slob?
