One of our favorite stops in New York is always the Nancy Gonzalez showroom. Imagine, the Bag Snobs in a room full of exotic bags in bright colors!! We act like we are shopping for ourselves even though we are supposed to be doing a preview for the blog. Luckily for us, sometimes the two are the same =) There a new shapes, always new colors and new techniques used with the skins for Spring 2010.

Jump to see our favorite pieces.

You know me and blue so of course I gravitated immediately to this new color, blue jean. It has a slightly distressed look to it because of the texture of the crocodile. Truly the most versatile color and gorgeous beyond belief. This clutch is not a new style but the size is. This is giant, like the size of a pillow! It comes with a shoulder strap so it can easily be transformed while still looking totally chic.

The most interesting new technique we saw is the crinkled python on the lady like frame with Colombian nuts dangling as an accent. The interior of this bag is insanely organized, one center zipper and two large open sides full of pockets for all the PDA's you can possibly have.

I am actually ordering this for myself! This easy hobo with gathered sides is not your typical sloppy bohemian, this is polished and fab, fab, fab! The loosely braided handle in python grips the shoulder like velcro. And, of course, super lightweight. I love the bone (surprisingly easy to keep clean in python) with the subtle specs of gold underneath each scale.

This is a true lady's classic, for those who lunch with a cocktail. The ring lizard is so incredible, the details and interest is enough to make a statement by itself. The frame is like no other and as with all Nancy Gonzalez designs, this has function on its mind. The handle is attached to just one side, so when you hold it all you have to do is pull on the tab to open and conveniently get to what you need. It is a magnetic closure so it just snaps back shut with ease. Tina was eying this one in a serious way.
