This is a bit of a departure for Marni but I am loving it! They lost their uber talented designers which was totally obvious last season, nothing was remotely good, but it looks like they are heading on an upward trend again. This hobo has two zippers that go all the around the gusset to make the bag bigger but also the exposed zipper give it a rock ‘n roll edge without shouting “I want to be Chrissie Hynde! (but less wrinkly)”. There are two adorable bows at each end to soften it up and the way it zips allow the bows to be shown in either configuration. The leather is sooooo incredibly soft which makes the bag really light and pillow-y, I wanted to lay on it! There is a toggle closure so all your stuff doesn’t fall out. And another huge bonus, the handle is reinforced so it is cushy AND stays on the shoulder. Great great bag and the price is right, too! At Net-a-Porter for $1350.

I have a question for you, and I do realize this may not be the right place to ask, but I am desperatly seeking snob opinions!
I know you are not a fan of the Louis Vuitton mono print (bowing head in shame) but I do love the iconicness of the line and want to buy my first designer bag under $1000 (another bow…)
I am deciding between the Neverfull MM and the Totally MM. I am a mother, and also expecting another baby soon- I need something big enough to tote essentials/diapers without having to change bags, all while staying chic and timeless, when the kids are no longer “babies”.
Between the two- which gets the snob vote? Neverfull MM or Totally MM?
And, of course, which print…I am smitten with the checkered Damien, but think my first LV bag should be the classic mono.
If you have any other suggestions for chic/mommy bags that are timeless and classic, please spill!
If not, please shed your snobiness on my desperate question!

Er……………..maybe not for me. But I love the (very) slight puffiness of the bag.
I don’t know, I find the puffiness which sticks out over the zippers awkward and unattractive.
I love this bag! It’s look very clean and simple yet with little details like rouching and the buckle.
The Marni Zip Hobo is a great bag! I just purchased it as an upgrade from my “legacy” Prada leather bag and I can’t be happier. Yes, it’s slouchy but the leather is soft and the size expands when you open up the zippers that surround the handbag. I have received many compliments on it (2 days so far) and I’m so happy I purchased the bag.
I highly recommend this bag for it’s fun style, soft leather and adjustable size. Plus, it’s a shoulder bag – hard to find this season!
