Freida Pinto is picture above wearing a bag from the new Chanel Coco Cocoon collection, which comes-out next month, and is featured in the Lily Allen Chanel ads (Allen is the face of the new Coco Cocoon handbag line). As a gym or beach bag I think the bag works, as an everyday bag not so much. The whole Coco Cocoon collection features reversible bags that are made of sporty-looking puffy leather. Timing wise the bag launch makes sense. We're all looking to cut back and these bags offer a two-for-one deal. That said there's little denying that while this collection may be Chanel's attempt at being "progressive," these bags look cheap -- where's the craftsmanship? This bag looks like it was made in 5 minutes by a robot! I'm laughing out loud already imagining women walking around in their puffy penguin coats come winter toting around this bag!

Chanel has been slipping down the cheap slope for awhile now with inferior materials and craftsmanship. I suppose it's a time of the economic times. Too bad. However, there are other fashion houses standing in the wings all too eager to take up the Chanel slack. Botega Venetta anyone?! :-)
It's hard to judge by just seeing a photo, but I'm a Chanel addict and will probably skip this one. It doesn't look classic enough to wear for years and would be too expensive for a novelty bag that I wouldn't often use.
The bag looks like something that came free with a shopping spree. Rip-off!
At first, I didn't like these bags from the photos, but until I saw them in person this afternoon. I tried a few styles and I felt that they would be great for travel. They are really light weight and soft. Well, the price might be too much for a nylon bag, but hey, it is Chanel. Even LV bags, many of them are not made of leather either. I ended up bought a reversible mid size tote in nylon because I wanted something new. I already have a few of leather Chanel chain bags, getting tired of it.
I think the collection is cool. Ideal for everyday use ;)
May i ask you how much you paid? Which bag did you choose?
