Fergie’s Louis Vuitton Satin Plisse Matelasse

Fergie showed up at the Men’s Louis Vuitton show in Paris a few weeks ago sporting the Louis Vuitton Satin Plisse Matelasse, $2,575 (it’s a harder edge take on the LV Limelight clutch). A number of people didn’t seem all that fond of the Louis Vuitton African Queen clutch because it seems awkward to tot around, and predictably, the gold was too loud for some. This clutch however is considerably more understated. It’s made of a mix of blue silk and black leather and closes via a studded center with a gold buckle. I think the size of the clutch is fab and I love that it straddles the line between sturdy and slouchy. I’m also into the gold pyramid studs (will we be into them next season though? That’s a risk anyone who buys this bag has to take I guess). I’m usually not big on Fergie’s style, but I think she nailed it here — at least when it comes the bag…the belt, the shoes, the frou frou dress, well, that’s another story we’ll reserve for Couture Snob!

What do you think about the Louis Vuitton Satin Plisse Matelasse? Snob or Slob?

I can´t get a good look of the bag from the picture, but it seems to fit with the dress perfectly.

i like the bag, but i don’t like it with the dress. it’s a little too matchy-matchy for me. it should be either or!
