Above Beyonce is pictured in the Dior Samourai 1947 Woven Frame Bag. This crazy looking concoction retails for $4,200! Every time I see this bag I think of that Food TV show 'Ace of Cakes'...this Dior doesn't look like a real purse to me; it looks way more like one of those tacky purse-shaped cakes! I mean is there a better display of overkill? Between the fuchsia color, the twisted trim, the Louix XVI-style picture frame Dior tag, the rings, and serpents the only thing that's more over-the-top than this bag is Beyonce's polka dot jumper!
What do you think about the Dior Samourai 1947 Woven Frame Bag? Snob or Slob?
The elaborate woven aspect does not bother me, but I don't like the fauxriental overload.

I have the Samourai in dark green and I love it. I do make a point to carry it with solid color outfits -- its great against navy or gray. But if everyone votes 'slob', I'll still love it!

ADORE IT! WANTED IT! GOT IT IN THIS SAME COLOR ( Although the green is crush worthy as well). Perhaps the ensemble needed rethinking but the bag is the "T".
This bag is one of the most creative designs Dior has had in the last decade. It is stunning in person. Beyonce is wearing it with a really silly outfit though. I have also never seen it with the picture frame tag. Certainly sounds like Heather knows how to show it off, she should give Beyonce a call and enlighten her.

If she paired it with a simple LBD and a rocking pair of simple pumps (like the McQueen pumps with heart-shaped peep-toe and bright pink insole from SS09)I think she'd totally rock anywhere!!

And why impractical? The size seems generous enough to me. Obviously Beyonce killed it with her mess of an outfit but paired with a simple black suit would look amazing!
and btw I can't believe you think $4K is a lot-this bag is a work of art. If Goyard can charge $2K for canvas then I dont think this sounds expensive in comparison

I think it'd look TONS better with a more formal looking outfit. That romper is just plain ridiculous.

The bag does look special, however not to my taste. The way it is shown on the picture-slob.
Beyonce was probably given the bag by Dior. How else would anyone wants to be seen toting around such an ugly bag.

It's just a bad ensemble. The jewelry and bag really don't work with the romper outfit.

As for the bag, the weave, color and the little snake details make it a Snob.
Please, Beyonce looks good in anything.
