Model Alex Curran was snapped with Christian Louboutin’s Pillow Medium Softy Satchel
($1,995). I’m not a huge fan of Christian Louboutin’s bags — I can’t get over his cheap-looking satin clutches with their heel-shaped closures..eck! Unfortunately this bag isn’t much better. It looks like a bad imitation of the utterly covetable Donna Karan Large Gotham Tote. The diagonal zippers and pleating, the pendant, the lunchbox shape of the bag — it’s all just too much. Visually the bag is also somewhat headache-inducing with all the diagonal lines. There’s nothing fun or spontaneous about it. It does look like it would make for a nice cushion-y pillow if we could somehow get rid of the zippers!

See, this is one of those bags that looks so much prettier in person than the online photo. Those clear zip pulls are so pretty and the pleating and leather is so soft. I think the clutch version of this works much better, but I still like the satchel. My favorite bag in this line though is the hobo with a beautiful flat chain strap. It also has the clear lucite zip pull
