Celine Dimitri Python Fringe Hobo

I have been loving Celine lately so you’d think if they come out with any exotic, I would go ga-ga and be all over it. Yeah, you would think, unless it looks like a forest monster. Or the mouth of a whale. Those fringes on both sides look like baleen. What exactly is hiding behind it? The hobo has a great classic shape and of course the gray python is exquisite but to ruin it with the messy hairy fringes is a travesty. Look at the back of the back with the cool straps, that would have been great controlled detail. The gunmetal hardware and the onyx jewel clasp (I don’t think it’s real onyx) are all so incredible and would have been enough! At some point, you gotta just stop yourself, step back and be like, ok this bag is done, stop throwing more crap on it. And the price, hello, $4200!! But what am I talking about, this bag is sold out at Net-a-Portericon!! The only amazing thing about it.

It looks kind of country to me. I can see it younger high-society Texans with the country feel? Perhaps Tina has seen these in Dallas?

I think it’s absolutely stunning. The fringe is done is done in a tasteful manner. Apparently, many women felt the same way about the bag because, as you mentioned, it’s already sold out on NAP.

I think without this fringe this bag would have been looking like any other boring gucci collection bag. We’ve seen the same style year after year. If you’d “stop, take a step back, and stop throwing crap on the bag” it would be the same bag every designer copied. Let’s be real. The fringe is gorgeous, and it is a well executed, unique, bag. And everyone loves it. Get it?

I saw this bag in a store called Carouzos in Athens, Greece last week and it was stunning. If I didn’t already own three grey bags, a Kelly, the Goya bag by Oscar, and a Chanel, I would not have hesitated to buy it…
