I love it! I think it's so amazing that people are finally learning that there are creative and beautiful ways to provide a healthy future for the Earth and its inhabitants. People don't sometimes realize that every little bit counts. One plum handbag, one reusable shopping bag, one bus ride instead of car drive. It all matters, it all helps.

The vegan handbag is good for recycling and keeping the planet safe...I like to recycle and so I like Matt and Nat handbags...

I really like the style of it, not too small, yet not too big-this would work perfect for me! :) also, I like the fact that it is good for the environment, you can't go wrong with that! A handbag you can recycle, who knew?

I don't care if it's vegan or not. It's the style of the bag that matters! If it's gorgeous and animal-friendly, fine, +1 Karma points. If it's ugly and animal friendly, I wouldn't care for it. If it's not animal friendly, no biggie. Leather is a by-product anyway. People eat beef, and the skin needs to go somewhere. It can be argued that by using the by-product leather and not using more of earth's resources to produce "animal-friendly" products is good conservation practice. People just jump into the whole "earth friendly," "animal friendly," and "do the green thing" without really thinking it through and without questioning how substantiated any of the claims are. FYI: the most earth-friendly thing to do is not buy anything at all. But who wants that? We girls want to shop and feel good.

Why is it that we only stop to notice the"GREEN" Options during Earth Day. Kudos, to Matt and Nat for noticing this niche in the bag market.

I've found that a lot of vegan alternatives are not very environmentally friendly. many use tons of petroleum based materials that don't biodegrade and aren't very recyclable. However, when done right vegan is the way to go, it can look just as good as leather (Matt and Nat make great bags that are ever improving in style and quality).

i have a matt & nat satchel made from recycled water bottles. it's a beautifully crafted, fashion-forward bag and also pretty sturdy. i'm very excited about the samsara line. the designers are passionate, innovative and very bold with their beliefs.

I think we need to start watching what and how we use, and repurpose things because we as a whole got overly greedy using things and tossing them away

I'm loving the clean lines and the eggplant color. It reminds me of one of my favorite eyeshadows and I can already imagine how I would look and feel with this gem on my arm. I am a vegetarian, but i wear a lot of vegan fashions. Sometimes its hard to find things that are super fashionable and vegan. I think this purse is awesome. The shape and style are great, but the color of this purse is the best part!

It is ABSOLUTELY THRILLING to see such high quality vegan goods!!! I don't eat animal products, but I was resigned to using leather in order to have quality shoes and bags. That bag is gorgeous! I've been a vegan for almost a year now and it's made bag shopping a little tough. Though it's made my health much better and I feel great about my contribution to the environment. There are plenty of vegan bags, but good ones are few and far between.

I recently purchased a python printed microfiber Carlos Falchi that is the same shape as the slouch hobo, and a coated canvas Marc by Marc Jacobs tote when I was at the Saks in Manhattan. I was thrilled when I was leaving and noticed that there was a table piled high with Matt and Nat bags! I've wanted one of these bags for a while but had yet to see them in person (I won't order a bag online if I've never seen it face to face). I didn't see them at the Saks here in Houston the last time I was there, but my next bag purchase is definitely going to be a Matt and Nat!

Years ago I realized I have 'bag ADD', I require variety, LOTS of variety which means there would have to be a solar system of cows that would die to keep me in bags and shoes, so I began looking for 'faux' leather years ago, and now that more companies have joined me in caring about consumption in not just food, but clothes and fashion as well, there are not just leather substitutes out there, but stylish options that rival the traditional, and with competition comes the best part, affordability. I love this bag, it's hot, stylish, affordable and doesn't rob the earth to keep it's users 'in style'. It's nice to see that what's 'in style' is positively changing with the times!

Though I dont adhere to a vegan diet, I dont think we should be wearing animals if its not essential to our survival. I love the idea of vegan handbags, clothes and other accessories.

I personally am not a vegan, or even a vegetarian, but after reading up on animal cruelty, I vowed to lessen my overall meat intake; I think any way that veganism can be incorporated into our daily lives is commendable and I would be proud to carry a vegan bag on my arm (especially if it's the samsara!).

I own a Matt and Nat wallet because I am in total support of the vegan fashion movement! But not only is it vegan, charitable, ecofriendly, and cute, it is an extremely good quality product. I've had my wallet for two years now, its still fashionable and functional. So needless to say this bag is so cute and would be fantastic for anyone to have in their collection, while being awesomely eco-friendly!

As a female, I love to have options, but a leather bag is also an efficient use of an animal.

Many people do not know that leather bags contribute indirectly to the climate change issue. Samsara should be promoted widely as the alternatively, and continually improved to finally take over the popular leather used in luxury goods.

This is a great-looking bag, and a great idea! I recently went vegan (food only, can't give up all my leather bags/shoes just yet), and I am very happy with that decision. Everyone nowadays are trying to do as much as possible to help save the planet: recycling and turning off appliances in an attempt to cut down their carbon footprint. However, people don't think that much about animals and fashion. To have a vegan bag thats good for the environment and saves a heck of a lot of animals in the process is an amazing idea, and everyone should be thankful that Matt & Nat came up with it. Many of my friends are vegan and they would be very proud of me to carry a vegan bag... they would all want one after seeing this!! i really love the colour and would use it everyday if i won it!

The great thing about Matt & Nat is that their vegan bags still have a great look and feel to them, so it's not like you have to feel like you are settling for a "cheap, fake leather" bag. That they use eco-friendly means to manufacture the bags makes them even better. And the donation for each sale is a terrific bonus as well. For me vegan options are A MUST!!! I have been vegan for over 3 years, vegetarian for 7. I refuse to buy purses, shoes, etc. that are not animal friendly. I fully support companies who go out of their way to provide quality goods that are 100% animal free.

I think without the plum color, this bag may look a tad generic. The plum color definitely gives it an extra "oof". I really enjoy seeing how Matt & Nat are evolving their line(s)!

Some vegan bags can look so cheap and tacky, and fall apart within weeks, sometimes days, but this bag looks discreetly expensive and classy enough to rival its designer leather rivals. I wish more bags could be animal friendly and stylish like this gorgeous one is!

I am still skeptical on it really turning into a something that will have staying power. Right now, the fad is being "green" and we see it in everything but only time will tell if it will really stay that way...

I think vegan options are great because the easier it is for people to go vegan/green, the more apt they are to go that route!

I am all for going vegan. It makes me feel good to know that I can own a gorgeous purse without any animals being affected in any way.

This is the sensible evolution of fashion and empathy.

I like the idea of vegan fashion but as long as the fashion aspect isn't sacrificed. This bag is gorgeous and if they can make sexy, quality bags...I could really care less what they're made out of....but if its better for our earth and our co-habitants (animals) then all the better.

Honestly, I'm a bit skeptical about the vegan handbag. Sure, it's fashionable, but how does it feel? Maybe I'll be lucky enough to find out!

I have a hard time understanding how a non-degradable PVC bag can be considered eco friendly. That, and all their bags are made in China, which adds a whole other ethical twist to this dilemma. I think it is important to recognize when companies actually care, and when they are just good at marketing.

Well said, pina colada. PVC is a horrible material that is toxic and not eco-friendly at all. Everyone, go and research the health and environmental risks of PVC. Also, I am appalled that a purse made from a cheap vinyl/plastic compound can cost that much! There are much safer alternatives to this material. Please do your homework everyone before you support a company that is just trying to cash in on the vegan movement.
