My dear friend, Tatiana Boncompagni, has written another beautifully woven tale about love and money (mutually inclusive in this world) amongst the glittering set of New York society. I was with her when she finished writing the last few pages of the novel (on a flight from NYC to LA) and have been anxiously awaiting its launch for months! I finally got a chance to read it this morning (in one sitting, I could not put it down! My sweet hubby took our son to golf so I could indulge in peace) and now have an urge to crawl back into bed with a plate of expensive cheese and a bottle of bubbly to start over again! I have said this before and I'll say it again-- Tatiana is one of the best writers of our generation. She offers us a peek inside the posh world of New York Hedge Fund Wives (apparently there are 7 types-- the Accidental, the Westminister, the Stephanie Seymour, the Former Secretary, the Socialite, the Workaholic, and the Breeder) through her keen eyes and paints a not so bright picture of the seemingly 'perfect' socialites often seen on the glossy pages of magazines. The book made me laugh (and cry) and I loved trying to decipher which real life socialites inspired the richly painted characters (trust me, some of the stuff really came out of restylane injected lips because I have heard them firsthand!). The long weekend is the perfect time to treat yourself to this delightful book by the pool, beach or even in bed with a glass of wine. Happy Memorial Weekend everyone!

I opened the book and got the best surprise ever; Tatiana had included me in her acknowledgment page. I felt warm and fuzzy all over :) I am confident it will be a best selling book this summer!

Tatiana's is such a thoughtful and intelligent book, not typical "chick lit" at all-- it's a really engaging roman a clef for New Yorkers, of course, but also such a candid portrayal of a woman finding her own way. I downloaded this on my Kindle -- and I'm so glad, Tina, you're finding more readers for her!
I just downloaded this morning after seeing this review and am reading it now. That's funny, I crave expensive cheese now, too! Haha, the way she describes the cheeses,, yummy!
I know you guys will enjoy it! I can not get into the Kindle.. I'm old fashioned and need actual pages to turn. I love the smell of paper... and flipping it physically. But that's just me. Kelly loves her kindle.
I finished this book yesterday and absolutely loved it! Her writing style and use of symbolism is reminiscent of F. Scott Fitzgerald, but updated for our generation. I love the interviews in the back of her books where she discusses her inspirations. I can't wait for her next book!
Wow, not to sound bitchy or crass or rude (although I'm sure what I'm saying covers all of the above) but that woman on the far right in the final pic needs to stop with the brow lifts and the botox - frightening!!!! It looks like the top part of her face has been pulled up HARD...
i'm not a literary major or anything but i normally prefer to read classics instead of modern best-sellers that have no meaning what so ever. I'll take your advise on this one (since it's been compared to the work of F Scott Fitzgerald) and give it a try.
