I didn't think anything of this bag at first when I saw it in a picture but when I carried it around at Barneys, I was suddenly in love. There are many details that is overlooked in the picture, like the side pocket and the fact that it is a drawstring looking bag but actually does not require you to adjust the drawsting after you achieve the slouchy-ness you want. There is a magnetic closure that keeps everything in place. The leather shoulder piece keeps the chain strap on the shoulder and the chains are surprisingly light. Also, the length is just long enough to fit over the arm so there isn't a lot of excess chains hanging all over. I hate putting down my chain bags and having this giant pool of chains piled up. I'm not wild about open bags, even with a drawstring and magnetic closure. On a crowded tube platform, you're bound to be more of a target to pickpockets.
Well, I like it a lot, and found myself thinking how I did like that color for spring. Until I saw the price. Woah! I figured it would not be as much as a Chanel Bag, which to me is the ultimate chain bag. Wow...here where I live, NO ONE has that much to spend on a purse. I do like it, though. I also like a drawstring bag, and I like the fact it is NOT really a drawstring and gives you the look. Thanks for sharing....not even a possibility for me~!
I am a Chanel girl. A Chanel bag this large, is over $2500 at retail. Only the smaller ones are under $2000.The bag is pretty, but I do not like an open bag either. I just bought the Proenza Shouler PS1 bag. It's a great looking bag and so organized.It's definitely a modern women's bag .I'm in love.
This just looks like the upper part of a pair of pants to me..
I agree with you Kelly. This bag is so nice in person, the picture doesn't really do it justice. I also wouldn't have paid any attention until i picked it up in Barneys. All the subtle details look so chic, and the bag drapes so beautifully. I love love the diagonal pocket and ring detail! I actually prefer the smaller bag in this group, but this bag is gorgeous too.
