BE NICE TO THE EARTH =)

Quiz#3.jpg

In efforts to celebrate and promote the idea behind Earth Day this month, we are doing some major giveaways on eco-friendly products.

Envirosax is a company that produces chic, fashionable, and trendy reusable shopping bags that are great for the environment. We will be giving away the Candy Bag #2 which is part of the Candy Series inspired by Italian designer Emilio Pucci!

To win do something nice for the environment and identify this Enviornmental hunk who not only drives electrically powered vehicles like the Tango, but is also part of the ONE campaign and a supporter of Save Darfur? Put your answer and what you did for the earth in the comments by Monday April 20th at 11:59pm EST. One entry per person please. One winner will be chosen amongst all correct answers using a random computer drawing.

We will be doing Earth Day Giveaways until Earth Day on April 22nd.

George Clooney. Love him, always have–remember “Facts of Life” anyone?

I have switched out every single lightbulb in my house w/a “green” energy saver blub–as they went out, I replaced them (why waste any bulb)–we are now 100% eco-blubbed!

We also switched to all natural cleaning products–and sometimes make our own (vinegar & water, baking soda, all work really well for cleaning!).

Finally, we are purchasing all of our produce from a locally owned/operated business that either grows the produce themselves or buys it from local sources as close to our city as possible–saving transportation pollution and money along w/supporting local, green farmers. And it’s all organic so we aren’t ingesting pesticides. And they deliver so you save gas by fewer trips to store.

George Clooney – I started a compost bin last fall and even if it’s not very composty, it has helped reduce the amount of kitchen waste going into my garbage. I will use what compost I’ve achieved in my garden which helps me be more sustainable and organic. I get most of my seeds and plants in return for writing for the local grower’s market. Bartering is green!
