Bottega Veneta Pleated Cervo Satchel

Bottega Veneta bags are well loved not only for its beauty but what keeps us lusting season after season is the usability - and there is nothing more ultimately functional than this satchel. It has the signature woven peaking out of the top but it is refreshed with the large outer pleated pocket. This is a beautiful picture of the bag so I chose it but in fact the color is not this bright. It is caramel and is a soft neutral cream yellow. The leather is so soft you just want to cry when you feel it but it's not the super sensitive nappa that scratches easily, there is a slight texture that wears well. It is the perfect casual bag for year round enjoyment, I know Bottega Veneta is expensive but it truly is an investment, you will never get tired of it. And as with every other designer, I want to say the prices have gone down a little bit, at $2180 it is more palpable than last season. For some reason Bergdorf Goodman is marking this at $2550 so make sure you go directly to Bottega Veneta to buy. The sandals are super cute, not sure if I would match shoes and bag but those are $460.

Additional pictures of this bag after the jump so you can see how different the color looks.

  • That buttery (sorry, buttah') yellow is gorgeous. BV bags are bizarrely soft, aren't they? I'm so glad they finally moved away from purely woven bags (yawn) I was tiring of those. I like the more expanded collection available lately. And the sandals? LOVE the matching sandals. Wold love them better with a slight heel...but still cute.

  • Wish they offered this style as a shoulder bag. THAT I could use!

I love Bottega bags they get better with wear and never wear out.

I just bought a large green Bottega on sale at Nordstroms, it has 2 straps - shoulder and across body. The original price was $2950 and it was marked to $1750. If you watch Nordstroms they have a table of designer bags on sale quite often - you will find all the top designer makes. They said people call all the time asking if Bottega's are on sale. They had 3 Bottegas on the sale table. There is also a table of regular bags on sale so you have to look for the "designer table".

  • I just love the Bottega. But my woven bag is looking quite worn. Any suggestions on how to recondition them?

  • i'm in LOVE.
    perfect for st. barts
    this summer! ;D

The bag you got sounds like fun Marcia...what's it called and which Nordstrom did you get it?
