Valextra Showdown! Jen and Posh

I am so excited to see Valextra bags on the arms of two of my favorite girls, Jennifer Aniston and Victoria Beckham (yes-- I love her, I can't help it!). I have been obsessed with Valextra for several years now and have a nice little collection going but now I must have the Babila (carried by Jen). It's such a great tote size for travel and in pergamena white it has that nonchalant Italian riviera chic. Posh is carrying the Borsa Series S bag also in white, the bowler shape is very posh and it has an exterior zipped compartment which makes it functional as well. Talk about quiet luxury, what could be more quietly luxurious than a meticulously crafted Valextra bag? Which one do you like better? The Babila or the Borsa Series S? Valextra bags at Luisa via roma here. Also available at Barneys New York here.

Me too! I love Valextra and these two amazing bags look stunning on my favorite celebs! I can't decide which one I want...maybe I'll go for both!

  • They are really simple bags, but I do love Jen's choice! That is something I would carry. VB usually prefers the more structured bags.

Babila all the way for me
Aidan, Valextra is not something everyone "gets", it's a very subtle and sophisticated brand.

  • much prefer Jen's choice.....can't stand Victoria Beckham so that could be clouding my judgement a little?

  • I spent almost two hours in Valextra shop trying to convince myself to buy some bag. However, I found too many imperfections on Babila and Boston bags - imperfect finish of edges, the cuts are not straight (e.g. on the inner side of the handles), stitching is not even and similar. Not big things, but I believe real luxury should be perfect in both, material and craftmanship.

    • I must second this. DH was trying to convince me about this brand so we bought one, and that was it! full stop. I still have it and probably just used it a handful of times.

  • Love Jen's choice. I am not a huge fan of bowler shape bags. It does look great on Posh.

    xoxo

  • Utilitarian looks that no sense of style or feel to either of the 'celebs.'

Heard rave reviews of the manufacturing process, but neither bag would be one that would get a second glance. Yawwwwn. Forms look as dated and old as the bags under their eyes.

I bought one on Ebay for $400. It is authentic and it was the amount that I would spend on one of these bags. Not that fabulous!
