No, it’s not Halloween nor a costume party. Victoria Beckham simply felt like dressing the part of a pilot on her last flight out of LAX.
I have a love hate thing going with VB; sometimes I love her but days like this, I’m just annoyed (although incredibly entertained by the ridiculousness of it all!). Maybe it was a bad hair day and she just wanted to cover up?
Who knows but the coat, hat, bag would all have been okay on its own– put it all together and we’re ready for the circus. (Okay, not the hat– never that hat unless you are actually flying the plane or dancing on Solid Gold).

My first thought when I saw this photo was ‘What was she thinking when she chose this bag to go with this outfit?’ It just screams MISMATCHED!
I think she meant to matchy matchy as she always does but in this case only the color match. the styles are totally different, this bag is delicate and fanciful and needs a simple sheath dress to set it off.

The lights must have been off in her half a million dollar closet because this is awful. She has beautiful things, but does not seem to know what to do with them, so she puts them all on at once. Is that the Valentino tote?

SNOB! I absolutely LOVE this look — it’s totally what I’ve come to expect from her – attention seeking, but glam nonetheless.
BTW This is the same pilot hat Victoria wore on last month’s Russian Vogue Cover (another great fashion spread with her as well inside!)

I love Victoria Beckham, but this look is not doing a thing for me. It is just too much. Each piece is great, but not all together. I even like the hat, just not with the glasses!

I agree that she is too matchy matchy and not that original. But I love it. In the age where people in LA wear Juicy sweats out to dinner, it’s a nice change that she dresses like a Barbie Doll.

I don’t know why everyone takes her so seriously, she’s dressing for attention and her paparazzi “image”.
I agree with everything Simone said! VB looks fierce, but obviously she’s doing this because she knows she’s getting photographed. It would look ridiculous on anyone not in the spotlight.

it’s like she is trying to do a village people look minus the leather and I expect her at any minute to burst singing and dancing “in the navy” while leather clad dancers start bouncing around behind her

It occurs to me that she is dressing for David as she is flying to him for a visit. She is possibly just in her skimpy undies underneath the coat and will greet him with a strip tease lap dance. She may look like a SLOB to us but she will be HOT in his eyes.

Yikes!!!! Love the coat, but the stuff hanging off the bag makes it look like it has a skin disease, and doesn’t everyone have those sunglasses? Those pilot hats look good on NO ONE, not even pilots.
