Frugal Snob: Marni Shopping Bag

I was about to write off Marni bags after discovering that DVF hired two of its top Accessories designers to design her bag line (You heard it here first!  Wait til you see DVF Fall 09 bags, HOT! I got a preview last week at the NYC showroom and am awaiting exclusive photos!) but it looks like Marni will continue with its edgy urban chic bags! How great are these little shoppers? At 12.5" x 11.5" it's not exactly 'little' but compared to the monster sized bags we're so used to now it is!  I'm noticing a return to more normal sized bags (my theory is the bigger the bag the more crap you'll pack in it and how much crap do you really need each day?)-- whether it's due to economy or to demand by consumers who are sick of weekly chiropractor visits, it's making me very happy! These nappa lambskin leather sacs are ultra soft and lightweight; and are easy to grab and go. The bright colors are eye catching but not so trendy that you'll be scared to use them more than once. This modern rectangular and sack-shaped bag will really get a lot of mileage!  It is also incredibly functional with two deconstructured handles and a resin locking.
