I thought I read the price wrong when I first saw this bag. $200?!?! Really? And it’s not burlap? The $200 bag market is a very difficult price point but TANO hits it with this Boogie Bucket bag! It’s made of Italian lambskin to boot, not from canvas or PVC. Now that is snob worthy! Okay, so this is not a collector’s item but for a fun summer bag in a bright color, you can not go wrong. I have actually seen these in person and the quality is not Hermes but hey, it’s not bad, either! The lambskin is soft and lightweight and the dark brown leather trim with silver hardware makes gives the bag an edge. If you can find a better bag under $200, please show me! Wow, this is a bargain. I´d definitely consider this one, were I young and choosing a bag for the summer.
Very nice! I am probably going out on a limb here, but I also think the new Parker line from Coach is actually a great frugal snob bag. I just bought one in rose gold/nickel, and although that material is somewhat delicate, it is a very useful and well-made bag. I hadn’t been excited about anything Coach in a long time, but these bags are priced right and pretty to boot!
This Boogie bag looks a lot like the Rebecca Minkoff Nikki.

I actually bought the purple one last week online at Neiman’s, and cannot wait to get it. The colors are really rich looking and I can’t wait to take it with me to Spain this June!
michelle, let us know how you like it! I would love to get one!
That is a beautiful bag. I do like their leather bags as well.
Yay! I just ordered one in the sour cherry color with brown trim. I can’t wait for it to arrive =)What a steal!

Glad to see Tano getting more recognition! This is a great bag and a great value for the money! I bought it in a different color a couple of years ago and I get more compliments on it than any other bag, including many that cost a LOT more. (Oh, and Tano has been making this style for a long time now; it was definitely around before the Nikki became popular.)
Last year Snob kelly wrote a review on these bags. It was not a good one. can you please tell me if these bags look different in quality this year?
I jut ordered the shopper hobo in green apple and i am nervous about it.
Yeah Tano!
I own three Tano bags and I adore them all! For $200 ish, the color, style, quality and price cannot be beat.
I bought one of my Tanos at Bergdorf Goodman on the 5th floor. Theyve had Tano bags there for a few years now. The other two I bought from http://www.musthavebag.com. Theyre the best Tano resource that I’ve found online- my sister and I have both ordered from them and their service is great.
I saw this post a month after it had been published, wanted to buy one, and of course there seemingly weren’t any. I tracked one down at Susan Greene in Matawan, NJ, for $169. I must say this bag is GREAT and am still getting compliments.
I got a violet boogie bucket from Must Have Bag last week, and its totally awesome. Its beautifully made and the leather smells divine. I cant believe this bag is only two hundred dollars. The leather and workmanship on this bag is better than many of the other bags in my closet that I paid double that price or more. (Foley & Corrina, Hayden Harnett, Kooba, Rebecca Minkoff…)
I’ll definitely be buying more Tano bags!
I am going to order a Tano boogie bag soon. Can’t wait to see it!
