I love Alexander McQueen and am sometimes blinded by my adoration (the white ballerina dress with embroidered butterflies? So kitsch but I love!). He is like the ultimate Fashion Rock Star– rebellious, naughty and shocking– but always brilliant! This neon clutch is bringing out the 13 year old inside me (I don’t know why my license says I’m so old when I still feel like a little kid!?!?)– the one who loved Adam and The Ants and all things MTV in 1983. Back then I would have worn it with an attention seeking hot pink dress but now that I’m older and wiser– a simple black bubble dress ($1,395) will be the perfect canvas for this stunning clutch. It is generously sized at 13″ x 7″ so you can stuff it to the max or use it during the day. The geometric structure of the clutch is very space age Barbie; I almost expect it to lift open in the center to let little pink Martians jump out. Both at Net-a-porter.com. Alexander McQueen Neon panel clutch £484/$1,070 (Buy from the UK site. Much cheaper!)
Alexander McQueen Bubble hem dress $1,325 (Jump for more neon obsession!)
For a more formal lunch or dinner, I’d wear the clutch with this dress. A bit matchy but still works.

lol
i feel young too
love the clutch!
i’ve seen that clutch online before and i thought it was like a neon paneled bangle lol
“Whip it ….whip it good.”
No no no Tina, Alexander McQueen is THE rockstar.
LOL
Love Devo! hahhahaha
The dress, s-e-x-y.
The bag, H-U-H? Looks like a ‘gift with purchase’ cosmetics bag that served as a prototype for Rock n Republic’s imaginary line of psychedelic Hello Kitty Collection, circa 2019.
I happily skip this one. The bag looks like a cheap toy. The $1,070 can get me a Ferragamo Alce calfskin hobo instead if I just add $220 OR a Zagliani grey puffy python with $480 added on.
I am just not sure that this is a great look. I think this is one that is better judged in someones hand and someone wearing the dress!
