The Merino Cera Bag by Carnce

chancejackson.jpgI've been on Facebook for almost a year but never paid attention to it until a month ago-- now I am a junkie and check it via iPhone or computer throughout the day. In addition to connecting with long lost friends from junior high school (it has been so fun catching up with everyone-- a shout out to Herbert Hoover Jr. High alums!); I am discovering new bag designers who contact me directly via my profile and/or Bag Snob group. I am not going to mention any names but many of these designers should really keep their day jobs. A few designers, however, have caught my eye; one of which is Carnce by Chance Jackson. The Merino Cera leather bag is a new "staple" addition that is anything but ordinary. It comes in grey or black with black leather accents and has buttery softness while showcasing detailing that would make the Rolling Stones jealous. This hobo-esque bag is everything I need to get through the holiday shopping season.

chancejackson2.jpgMy rigid bags did not fare well this weekend; standing in line in a giant snow globe to meet Santa while while holding a wiggly 4 year old in one hand (he was trying to pull all the fake snow off the trees to make snowballs) was not my idea of Sunday afternoon fun. But then I had to balance my bag in the other hand along with shopping bags and cookie/bottle of water. I kept thinking to myself, "self, why are you in a structured mood with these hand held bags? You need to find a hobo bag to throw over your shoulder and not worry about water and crumbs spilling in it". And this would be it. It retails for $400 and is available at www.carnce.com

  • this is a great find! i love it

  • Cute bag. I have learned that holiday/week-end outings with my kids require a bag that can withstand crumbs, spills, dirt, etc. I've been using my YSL Muse for that very purpose, but i can always use a new one
    xoxo

  • Come on T, You know better then to take such a bag out with you while you have little C. We've talked about this b4, when out with kids always, always carry a bag you can toss over your shoulder and not worry if you spill gold fish or bottle water leaking in it...this bag is very cute!! good find!! xoxo

  • LOL, yes girls-- I love my mommy readers' advice :)

No more carrying my exotic birkins when out with the little one. His sippy cup was not screwed on tight over thanksgiving and spilled inside of my red birkin, soaked my kelly wallet and violine lizard planner. Heart was palpitating but took everything out and it air dried beautifully :)

I just love these bags for kicking around, they are super soft and easy! Nice price right? xoxo

  • Tina: Have you seen this bag in person?? The measurements on the site look like it is big. Is that true??

  • Hi Michelle,
It is the same size as the muse but is much softer so it folds and slouches. the muse is stiff at the corners and does not slouch...

It's a big bag to be used when shopping and traveling.

  • Fantastic bag! Holds anything and everything when traveling with my 3 girls. Beautiful construction.

  • LOVE this leather. Nice casual look.
