Leave it to Sang A to design a classic clutch with a twist! The horn buttons totally do it for me and the ergonomic crescent shape adds to the slightly off kilter but totally cool look. You can't really go wrong with a black python clutch but why not add a touch of off centered flare? The Sang A river tote has been seen everywhere, it was in the movie, The Women, and the larger tote was in Lipstick Jungle (it's not true that the show got canceled-- Tina saw Brooke Shields in Dallas who said the network ordered 12 more episodes!). Sang A is a favorite among fashion insiders who want fabulous without being obvious and you can see how this little clutch would fit the bill. If you aren't totally convinced, maybe the price will tip you over the fence, it is only $480, at LuxCouture.

Love it. I may just treat myself to it. I don't love Lipstick Jungle though.
I see this as a `thing´made out of the left over pieces of some bigger python bag. A couple of buttons were added to make it `special´. This explains the low price. At least they didn´t throw the python scraps away.
All- Gilt Groupe is having a huge sale on Rebecca Minkoff bags- I spoke to my friend who works there and she said the bags are going to be 75%. The sale starts this Thursday at noon so if you have to be signed up before then to purchase a bag.
Here is an invite (the website is invite only!) for anyone that needs it-

Happy shopping!!!
Mette, I totally agree with you. There are better clutches out there.
I LOVE Sang A, I have a few of her pieces, however, this clutch is not doing it for me...
i like it, and the price is great
I like that it is small and understated. They also have it in eggplant (http://www.sanga.com/store/item.htm?itemid=78&sid=17&pg=1), which might be a nice change from the standard black. Has anyone seen these bags in person? If you look on the site, some of the colors look almost metallic? Is that the case?
Yes, some are metallic. Some are matte, and some are glossy.
I have this exact pouch, though I got it on sale at LuxCouture. I love it. Not sure what to do with it, but I was enchanted by the buttons.
For those who say it is just a thing made of scraps, if you see it IRL, no, it is not even close. This is a real clutch, not a home ec project. (Though she has been making some little bag charms with the scraps. Not sure if those will be sold or not!)
