I wanted to hate this Marni bag at first glance but the more I look at it the more I’m in love with the idea of snap on/snap off double bags! When I am alone I require very little but when I’m with the little one I have to lug around toys, water, snacks, etc. so a double bag makes perfect sense for me! For once, I am grateful for Marni’s more is more aesthetics. Sure the shape is nothing exciting but the functionality and the price more than makes up for it on this one. The pillowy soft nappa leather looks divine and the color, so Spring-y and fun (our weather is fluctuating between 75 degrees and 18 degrees each week so I am definitely ready for warm weather clothes!). I especially love the contrast with the rustic brown leather. At £865.00/$1.273 it’s like $600 per bag. When my son is older and no longer requires me to carry his stash of toys, I can just give Kelly the other half of the tote. Genius! At Brown’s Fashion. (This is also a great gift for twins– which we are in abundance of thanks to IVF procedures.) What do you guys think?
I love this idea. I’m not crazy about this color, but I do like this idea. It’s very practical.Does it come in other colors? Happy New Year to everyone at Bagsnob!!
Don’t like the idea because I think it’s too much wear and tear on that poor row of exposed snaps, which could have been designed to conceal or be patterned or something. When snapped off, the back of the bag looks half finished. Love the colour though.
I saw it in several colors, I love the idea of two bags to snap together. For evening you can use one half. Love the blue
I’m not sure that the Marni concept of this bag is that of two bags, it’s only one bag with two “pockets”. I like it, it’s not available in France yet. I like the colour a lot, it’s the same one of a Prada clutch of AW 2008 collection. Very joyful !
I like the idea and I love the colour but I am not so sure about that dangling piece of string-it spoils the bag for me, shame they haven’t come up with something prettier!
