On and off the red carpet, we've almost always spotted Charlize Theron with a skinny, slender bag in hand. Since the holiday party season has arrived, and Charlize's clutch selections are usually stellar picks, we decided to follow the actresses' lead and pick out some adorable (and affordable) evening bags for that upcoming party or formal occasion on your calendar. For starters, this Metallic Snake Envelope Clutch, $48 at Arden B. reminded us of Charlize's glam rocker look, as well as this City Style Buckle Clutch, ($12.47, New York & Co) in gold or gunmetal. In most cases, we've noticed that Charlize will choose a clutch that doesn't distract from her avant-garde outfit. If you're looking for more of a basic black clutch, or plan on letting your wardrobe do all of the talking ala Charlize, try either this Katherine Clutch in Black Croc-Print $98 at Johnston & Murphy or the subtle, woven satin BCharlie Clutch, $48 at SteveMadden.com. Since Charlize tends to like her clutch bags long and skinny, we found several more affordable picks that she would surely approve of: the 
Jenny Bird, Go-To crinkle Patent Clutch ($298, Searle) is perfect with just a touch of hardware, and the Alexis Hudson Snowbird Clutch ($295, Piperlime.com) adds the right amount of femininity without going overboard. So all in all, it's not difficult to capture Charlize Theron's clutch look - just keep it long, skinny, and subtle with the details!
