Sonal Gandhi Snake Evening Clutch

With all the hype over the oversized day clutch, we kind of forgot about the classic evening clutch. It is after all the best use for a clutch, at night when all you need is gloss and your Amex in a dressy clutch. But this isn't dressy like an overly beaded chotchky Judith Leiber minaudiere, this is the day clutch that we love with a touch of beading on the flap for formality's sake. The shape is unlike the typical envelope rectangle, I love that slight boat shape which fits perfectly in your hand. The modern touch gives it youth which also lends itself to it dressing down. Jeans, nice top, sexy heels and this clutch, can you just see it? Hot and chic. Love it! At Luxcouture (which always has the BEST clutch selection anywhere!) for $1025.

  • 'Jeans, nice top, sexy heels and this clutch' have started thinking about how it might look!

  • This is lovely, will last forever, and you are absolutely right, it can be dressed up or down. I still hunt for an evening bag will leave both hands free.

Bobbi, if you want an evening bag that leaves both hands free, then either you buy a small hover craft to hold your evening bag in place, and to follow you around, or just buy an evening bag with a chain.

      • Dear Jacqueline, I am currently looking for the correct chain, that leaves no mark on my shoulder, never catches on my strapless dress, does not tug my long hair, or slip off my shoulder when I shake hands. Thanks for the hover craft suggestion it's ingenious and it seems more likely than finding a bag I like. :)

  • Looooove the bag -- but why the name Gandhi? Seems a little inapprop.

Uh...could u be that it's the surname of the designer?!

  • I've had one of her bags for years! They are extremely versatile, perfectly practical, and a great conversation starter. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
