Tod's Helmut Bag

user-pic
Tod's Helmet Piccola Bag.jpg Tod's Helmut Bag reminds me of someone. Someone who is youthful, exuberant and still views life with excitement and wonder.  Even the most mundane of events can be an adventure for this someone.  Because life, after all, is about one's attitude.  I was that someone in my 20's; when a trip down the street to the local street food vendor in Taiwan was an event that I planned for and anticipated.  0434805960861_275x275.jpgI was a bubbly, confident and energetic little thing that rarely allowed black clouds in my world.  My friends often said my energy was infectious and would always call upon me if they were depressed, knowing I'd lift them from their dark moods.  This bag would have been perfect for me back then as I swung through the jungle of life in my stilettos without a care in the world.  The soft little pleating detail with stitch fold over top reminds me of the many mini skirts that dominated my wardrobe back then.  The easy to open zipper top would be left open, so that I could access my cell and text (yes we had text messaging back in 1997 in Asia!) my friends easily.  I would have gotten this bag in multiple colors, as I did not understand back then that next season, there will be more bags to covet and to be had.   Tod's Helmut bag at eLuxury.com

  • I have to say that even if your skirts are now longer and you have a different life in a different place, you still come across as youthful, exuberant, bubbly and energetic.

Ya! We had text messaging wayyyyy back when in 1997 :) Asia is so advanced technologically!

Thank you mq cb, sometimes I feel like a grumpy old woman who just needs a nap :)

  • I love this post. The bag is great but it is the text that makes it so much better.

  • I would so love this bag without the weird little flaps on the side. And lots of cool stuff happened way back in the 90's. Like our little town knew ALL about UGGS back in '94, before they became "fashionable" in Hollywood. We actually used them for the horrible winters, not as a fashion statement.

  • Empress~~Tell me about it, I wore uggs back when,(20 years ago) Now even though I still love them and own them in every color, I dont wear them as often, cuz everyone and there mother has them. I see peeps wearing them in the summer, which is INSANE, seeing I live where its over 100 degrees in my town!! all summer long!!

T~~I like this bag, but I'm loving the texting story, lol
I'm a texting queen, I woulda loved it back in the 90's.

  • love this post. the bag is just okay, but you have a way with words that make regular bags exciting =)

  • Don't like the bag, but the trip down memory lane is nice.

  • I like the bag but LOVE your story!

  • cute post! you are still so cute and young, we see you in the videos and you look adorable! xx

  • I love this post!! The bag is nothing to shout about but the trip down memory lane is truly beautiful!

  • Love the helmet...is that navy? Swoon...I think my closet is lacking that color.

I didn't see it on Saks anymore, sold out already?

    • Hi Eme,
It's still available at eLuxury! click on the navy bag photo and it will lead you to the link! the price is fairly reasonable and i think it will sell out quickly!

  • I really like the shape of the bag, but that handle just ruins it for me.

    Hi Tina,

Don't you think this bag look similar to the the Givenchy nightingale with just a different handle and without the shoulder strap? Even the zipper tabs and the lines that cuts through it vertically and horizontally look similar.Haha.Just a thought.ANYWAY I TOTALLY ADORE YOUR BLOG!!!! A staple diet for me!!! Take care now and much love from SINGAPORE!!
