I was going to do a story on bags worn at the Emmy's but due to one avoidable event coinciding with another unavoidable catastrophe, it will have to wait. The avoidable event was the eating of too much crab which lead to stomachache and dizziness Monday night. When I got up yesterday morning to finish the story, I found the catastrophe that was my computer - totally crashed. Not even a blink or sound. Yes, I am fishing for sympathy so please give some up. I do have this bag for you, although not as exciting, it certainly is more useful than red carpet clutches. Not the most original of designs but what I do like is that they understand the mantra "if you can't invent, improve". This yet-another-woven-bag with the plain leather accentuates the details of the contrasting woven design, which is not actually woven but a series of knots and loops. If this design was all over it would be too much and distracting. The thick banded shoulder strap though is something to ooh and ahhh over. A boring detail, yes, but how many bags do you have permanently stored in your closet due to uncomfortable straps? Exactly. After experiecing the joy of comfort my Tod's softy has afforded me, this minor detail has become major when buying bags. Another huge huge plus is the weight, like feather! This bigger than average bag is 20" by 15" with a forgiving 9" drop on the straps. For all this function, comfort and style, you are paying for - at $2500 I find it a bit hard to swallow (unlike the crab I ate). It is a worthy investment if this is a one off for the season (but for real, not as a rationalization). At Net-a-Porter. Check back tomorrow for Emmy Bags. You have to because I've worked so hard and have gone through so much for it!!!

surprisingly, I like this slouchy bag. it has nice detailing
so sorry to hear about your computer. =( hope your stomach is feeling better!
I really like this. Boring, maybe a little, but great for your everyday in-and-out... If it were $1,000 cheaper. But still, nice.
I hope you're feeling much better, sorry your computer blew up. It happens, but it's always a kick in the face.
Love the stitching and style, but the colour seems a tad drab. I say colour is the new black.
Hope you're feeling better! Bag is not for me, but I'll take the sweater.
Kelly--so sorry your computer crashed--BUT when one door closes a window opens..you now have an excuse to buy that MacBook Air!
I love the sweater and the boots, where can I get them?
You got my sympathy ( since you were fishing for it:)Hope u feel better soon. I like the bag but definitely not the price. I personally think that Fendi Spy bag in black will be a better investment and addition to the wardrobe:) Just an opinion
Love this bag, but the price is outrageous. I am done with this price range unless it's Hermes. The shape and strap configuration are gorgeous, and it is the perfect size, but #2500? Sorry about your disasters! Now I am craving crab! I agree with the poster who mentioned getting a Macbook, but look into the Air first...my Apple store said it was not the best Mac for graphics and you post quite a few. The Macbook Pro is the best. Unless you have to carry it with you all the time, in which case the lightness of the Air might compensate for its graphics capabilities in comparison.
