Sept. 24-28, the hours are: Wed., Fri. & Sat., 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Thurs., 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sun., 1-6 p.m. At the Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 W. 18th St. Between Sixth & Seventh Aves. on the 4th floor. What will be there? Signature bags, scarves, shoes, ties, home products, and ready-to-wear for men and women.

Hi Kelly! Lucky me lives in NYC! I've never been to a sample sale much less one of this magnitude. can you tell me what to expect? what should i look for? is this a sale that you need to line up for if you want to get anything or will the inventory be re-stocked? what payment types do you think they will accept? advice is appreciated! thanks
Kelly, i have been to their sample sale (the private one that takes place the day before it goes public) which is by invitation only. There are no SERIOUS signature bags (usually just garden bags). However, there are great scarves and ties and gorgeous ready to wear as well as shoes...ping

Niles, there are sweaters, ties, shirts, their signature hats (for both men and women), blankets, scarves (unisex ones too for the winter), towels for the men.also houseware, plates, glasses, etc...i just saw your email this morning, otherwise i would have looked closely at the items for men..have fun..PING..ps. yesterday their phone lines were working sporadically so each credit card had to be called in, hence the checking out line was an hour long! (i hope they fixed the problem today!)..Ping

ehh, i've been a few times, this sample sale is nothing to get ruffled over.....
i usually go mid sale..and like someone mentioned, no major bags, just ALOT of garden totes and herbags...
ties, shoes, home accessories, scarves...clothes (that was all in larger sizes, if I remember..)

When will Hermes have a sample sale in Los Angeles?
I am a bit confused. Is the sample sale happening on Sunday too? some sites (like the nytimes and this site) say yes on sunday, but the metropolitan pavillion website says the sale ends saturday!
