Hancock Hollywood Premiere
By Bag Snob Tina

hancockpremiere.jpg I attended the Hancock premiere and after party in Hollywood last night and it was quite the event. The premiere was at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, the red carpet was right on Hollywood Blvd (taking over both westbound lanes) and strewn with overturned police cars, taxis and ambulance, there were even broken pieces of asphalt for added reality. Charlize Theron looked absolutely amazing, fittingly wearing a white flowy goddess gown. I love that she wore flat sandals with it. I couldn’t get a good look at her clutch but it was white, thickly woven satin (UPDATE: It is the Dior Cannage clutch). She is the most beautiful woman in Hollywood. There is not a flaw on her. I honestly mean that even though I am trying to make nice with Sony Pictures after that

whole SJP debacle (my inside connection got mad at me so he wouldn’t let me interview on the red carpet this time. See how hard it is to be honest? Trust me, my job would be so much easier if I said everyone looked like a goddess and was fabulous, blah blah blah). The after party was outdoors behind El Capitan and the set up was even more elaborate than the red carpet. All the bar tenders wore the beanie and sunglasses seen on Will Smith in the movie. There were cars on fire, jail cells furnished with mattresses and pillows, a Correctional facility bus (a real one!), a giant whale, a full sized yacht and giant screens showing footage from the movie. Will Smith threw DJ Jazzy Jeff a bone by having him perform with him for a walk down memory lane, doing songs like “Parents Just Don’t Understand”, “Miami” and “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It”. Will Smith is the ultimate crowd pleaser, taking requests and having fans go up on stage to dance with him. He showed up on the red carpet an hour early to sign autographs and take pictures with his fans. Sure it was 6pm by then but it was a scorching hot day yesterday and he was wearing a 3 piece suit! Hopefully I have redeemed myself with good behavior because I am working myself up to the red carpet press line for the Golden Globes and Oscars!!! Can you imagine?? I can’t wait. It might be worth loosening my integrity for a higher goal =)

I am not writing as a member of the integrity police, Kelly, but please don’t. Trash is everywhere. I don’t come to Bag Snobs for more of it. Okay, strong opinions with bite and intelligence, yes, that’s what I come for.

The world is coming to you and Tina for the best info on bags and other snob worthy items of note. You two put it all together for your readers. If I have to wait a few hours for you to distill it from photos, you’re still doing the work and I am grateful for it. I’m expecting we’ll see you at future red carpet events with integrity intact. I look forward to it.

Keep telling the truth Kelly. BTW, your hubby is a cutie. With him on your arm, I bet you can get into any Hollywood event. :)

Your brutal unabashed honesty is the reason why I read the snob blogs. I know I can get a real opinion. Please, please, please don’t lose it. It is the quality that makes you guys who you are.

SJP can take insults, they all can. They’re paid millions. I believe they need the occasional reminder that they are still human and that like everyone else they will age and smoking will only speed up the process, as you implied with your SJP opinion, which is, I am assuming, what got you in trouble.

You guys are absolutely wonderful, brilliant, and successful the way you are. Please don’t ever change.

Kelly, stay true to your opinions. What’s the fun in reading sugary reviews? I can jusr pick up a copy of any ragmag for that.

i miss the old kelly! you didn’t even call jazzy jeff a has been or say how much the movie sucked, which i’m sure it did – a drunk superhero, c’mon. more importantly, there are rumors circulating that will and charlize are really “hitting it off” behind the scenes. i don’t really think jada has anything to worry about. what does everybody else think?

ok so the red carpet fashion. it seems to me that the three of them forgot to call eachother before the premiere. don’t you hate it when your friends show up to an event and make you look over or under dressed? will looks like he’s running late for a meeting at the russian tea room and i’m pretty sure charlize is getting married in the bahamas after the premiere. the third guy is the only one who is dressed appropriately imo, but am i the only person that doesn’t know who he is?

Kelly: I’m sorry but I got more of a kick out of your SJP comment than your Charlize comment.

OK, fine! You have all convinced me, I will stay my bitchy self =) Growing up my mom always told me that my sharp tongue and obsession with bags will lead me down a life of friendlessness and poverty. Gotta love irony and the internet!!

That guy is from JUNO come on didn’t you see it? It’s a great movie and really famous. And also your comment is kinda harsh and mean! I understand a couple criticisms but you really let them have it.
