Gerard Darel Midday Midnight Bag

$895 at ShopRumor.com

Check out the latest Gerard Darel creation featured in its Fall 2008 Ads starring Mamie Gummer, the Midday Midnight Bag! For noon or midnight, I just love the casual vibe of this bag. It’s actually more Kelly’s style than mine but I am ready to loosen up and have some fun as I get older. (Do not ask me why I loved mature and structured bags in my 20s, I wanted to be older than I was but now that I am finally “older”– I am trying to be 18 again. Such is the irony of life!) But I am not the only one loving on the Midday Midnight bags, these slouchy and utterly boho chic bags are also gracing the arms of the cutest Hollywood celebs! If you live in Paris, run to a GD boutique and check out the purple or python versions, delicious! Stateside GD fans need not fret, jump to see where you can get it!

I just got word that Shoprumor.com has two left– one purple and one red– so you better act fast! The owner also has a waitlist but is not making any promises. She got a bad rap last year when Gerard Darel did not deliver the goods as promised (they had to fill orders for their Paris boutiques first, don’t blame them but hopefully they won’t be treating our US shops like stepchildren in the future!). I don’t know the owner of Shoprumor.com personally but I got the scoop from a third party and felt that I should share with you. So, if you are dying to get one– you know where to go– no silly, not fly to Paris. Head over to Shoprumor.com asap and get one of the two the boutique has left! $895 (jump to see who else is mad for the Midday Midnight bag!)

I know what you mean T- I had serious bags when I was younger(and still do)havent given them up or stopped buying them.- but is seems like more and more I just want to carry my casual slouchy bags.I already have this bag in the green, and its a comfy bag I love it. good bag if you have kids. another reason why I prob love going casual with my bag.

the kids keep me going and Im not trying to worry about where or where to put my birkin while out with them and most of the time need both hands for something (e.g stoller, snacks, water)

Its funny cuz I have mostly your taste in bags.

but Kelly pulls out bags I love as well-

    So I guess I’ll keep you both..HA-HA =)

PS..Still dreaming over the GD bag you bought in Paris, Still on the hunt for them!

    Thx….xox

That’s what I am like now Tina, 22yrs old and loving structured and mature looking bags,I also have to look professional when at work so hobo bags are off but for the weekend this bag seems just perfect and that blue-ish purple-ish color is divine…Now,where’s my credit card!

I am 25 and I am trying to prove myself at work, too. Perhaps it is why you liked the mature bags, Tina? At a certain age, when you have proven yourself, as you have with Bag Snob et al, you can tell everyone to bugger off and show up at the office with a hobo if you wish!

I must be the only person on the planet that hates big bags. The above celebrities are small enough to cram themselves into those things. The fact they are toting them around makes me *NOT* want one now…

I also think the bag is too big and those oversized zipper tabs remind me of some of the Chloe bags from a couple of seasons ago. I’ve gotten rid of my oversized bags from last year because they got too heavy to carry and I spent too much time up to my armpits fishing around in them for my belongings!

Tina…I remember from your last GD post you mentioned something about filling us on Eva Longoria and GD?! You’ve kept us waiting a while or did I miss it?!

Still waiting to see your Hermes collection….are you recovering from your nanny being off?!

Thanks for your help on the RL.

*sigh* Love that bag but tried it at the Darel store and it’s far too big for my petite 5 foot frame! Only the 24 Heures for me…
