This is the strangest bag I've ever seen, it looks like it could be an alien spaceship or something. But you have to imagine this under your arm and then it is not so strange after all but actually pretty darn cool. It is out there so alien spaceship still applies, it is just not the one bag you own (that would be a tote but come on, you do not come to this site for yet another bucket tote). The crescent shape fits under your arm perfectly and all you see are the giant pleats, which is dramatic, bold and definitely packs a punch when you want to make a statement. I only find the pleats interesting because this is calf leather and not satin (that would be way too obvious). The tonal hardware is especially effective on the black with the red (of course), it does not have the same impact on the burgundy although it is the better color for this bag. One last thought, you better pass on the scone in the morning as those upward pleats look like good crumb catchers. At Neiman Marcus for $1845.

"crumb catchers"...LOL, you really do think of everything Kelly! :-)
WOW...thanks kelly! i'm excited to see something a little edgier for a change and i actually really like this bag. the red hardware on the black bag is fab and only a true bag snob would notice that the pleating would be an excellent crumb catcher. my only concern is the lowest tier. because it's so big and it's the only one that's not curved, it looks like the bag is sitting in a bowl. no?
side note - i think christian louboutin is in the same boat as a lot of other designers (zac posen comes to mind). they're great at what they do, but should probably leave handbags alone.
side note deux - am i the only person that enjoys more interesting color names? for instance, doesn't merlot sound a lot better than burgandy?
I agree with James too many people are trying to get in on the bag action.....just give us more shoes please Mr Louboutin!!!
this reminds me of a fortune cookie =).
GROSS. Reminds me of a hybrid of a roly poly bug and an armadillo.
Does anyone else feel that for that much money the bag should be relevant for at least a few seasons? I just don't see that happening with this bag. I agree James- it's better to the master of one trade than some guy named Jack trying them all out...
it's unique though it does remind me of a junk boat. but it may work for someone who is really stylish.
i really like it, dont know exactly why, though.
It's rather interesting to look at and reminds me of the Sydney opera house...
I just picked up a pair of red satin Louboutin shoes that have a wrap of material around them. They came in black, too.
These two bags look like they were meant for those shoes...
