Many of you asked me about the Mademoiselle group of bags from the Chanel Paris-London collection after I posted my Paris splurge and I am just following up. Unfortunately my purple bowler bag with petite matelasse is not available in the US– my friend Melinda has been on a relentless hunt for it and I had to break the bad news for her last weekend. I did offer her a solution, fly to Paris and pick it up in person and enjoy a nice vacation! Though I am fairly certain Jessica from the Paris boutique will send it to her, it would make for a better story if she actually flew out herself, don’t you think? The entire group is fabulous in glazed calfskin but I especially love the petite matelasse, it’s a fresh and young version of the classic Chanel quilt, I am certain Mademoiselle Chanel herself would approve. Call Alexis at the Chanel boutique if you are interested in any of the above bags. 214-520-1055

  1. Hi Tina,

Saw this collection in Hong Kong during my vacation a month ago. It was beyond beautiful!!

Sorry, the quilted Chanel bags just don´t appeal to me at all. And that super shine tops it all. I do think though, that these would work with older ladies, who don´t need lots of stuff along. But that shine,I guess they would chose a matte version.

I am with Mette on this one, those bag really do not appeal to me,I would feel like a 80 yrs old with one.

ditto mette and lina on this one

  6. I’m with James on this one-I LOVE this collecton!!

  7. I always love chanel. I like the style Tina got in Paris the best of this collection. I wonder why the US did not get the bowler style?

  8. I saw the collection and fell in love with the ones in black but I am going to save my penny for the clutch/tote/shoulder bag (I call the 3 in 1) with pearl and gold chain detail.

I purchased the purple bowler bag at the Chanel boutique at Bloomingdales in South Coast Plaza a few weeks ago. They still have one in stock.

  10. They have the purple bowler bag at Chanel in Bloomingdales (Midtown, NY)

agree with mette and lina, the style of this collection is not even refreshing. they remind me stam bag.

i wonder if they are not from chanel, anyone would still be interested??

saw this collection in person and the glazed calfskin is amazing and beautiful.

the purple bowler in the US is the narrow version. I tried to find Tina’s version but was told Chanel USA did not buy that style.

I LOVE this collection too…especially the grey…I was in the Chanel boutique today looking for a keychain for a friend’s niece’s sweet 16, but they didn’t have any, alas. But I saw the black in person and it’s absolutely beautiful. So what I’m hearing described above is that Chanel USA did not buy the purple but Bloomingdale’s did – what a coup.

  14. Actually Jane, it’s the same bag as the one Tina has.

is it just me, but do the 2 bottom bags look just like the marc jacobs stam bags???

Tina. Thx for the headsup on the bowler bag. Its gorgeous in person. I snatched the purple/eggplant one in greenwich s saks (they usually have the best chanel bag selection).

To Anonymous, this bag is so not like the clunky stam bag (which I disliked). The picture here does not do justice to the bag. Ping
