Meet The Snobs
By Bag Snob Tina
June 29, 2008

Tina Craig (left), and Kelly Cook, Founders of Snob Global Media

Veterans of the entertainment and fashion industries (Tina– a former MTV Asia VJ and jewelry designer, Kelly– former right-hand woman to designer Mark Eisen), the Bag Snobs have been collecting designer bags for over 20 years.  BFFs since meeting at USC, we immediately bonded over a shared passion for Prada bags.  Bagsnob.com was created as a way for us to converse about our obsession for bags; we blogged while our newborns napped and it kept us sane when they didn’t.  Blogging was our entertainment and we had no idea that one day, thousands of women around the world would join in our conversation.

Nice to put a face to the name.

Anyways, any news on when Tina will be showing her Jose Eber makeover experience.

    Also, the LV factory tour.

Just curious, from reading your thread about your Paris/London trip, sounds like you bought $$$$$$$$ worth of purses, clothing etc, did you end up paying an arm and leg in duty as one bag would have probably maxed out the limit for your trip.

    HI Bagsnob!

just thought that you might want to guide your writers and readers to http://www.emphaticnyc.com for the hottest designer bags at prices so low that girls out there can’t quite believe what they’re seeing.

Some of their items are right off the runway. I’ve read on Stylehive and elsewhere that the girls at EmphaticNYC have the best contacts in NYC, and basically pass the deals they get on to the customers – which is why they have the lowest prices for the hottest items . . items other sites and stores can’t even find, much less acquire. Emphatic stands by every item they sell, as they meticulously describe each item, guarantee its genuine-ness, and provide fantastic support. Check them out!

It is great to read up on what ladies like is USA, here in London it is slightly different. I would love to contribute by writing to you on a regular basis what is happening on the bag scene here. The best place to be is the school playground, and in London with one area in North London with over 30 schools in a 1.5 mile radius you would have a field day looking at the best and worst bags. I, of course am a major Bag Snob and that is probably one of my little vices in life. I love high street clothes but a bag is a non compromisable item that should never be overlooked in any stage of a womens life. I have seen the best dressed ladies of London fall completely down in my estimations by the bag they have. The best I have ever seen is one mother at school who tries sooo hard but always seems to get it just that little bit wrong. I call it the mobile phone syndrom. The phone is on and charged but has it has no chip inside. Her bags are her downfall and as much as she tries to socially climbe the bag always seems to let her down.

Maybe a little help from the bag snob should help her out.

    Hi Bag Snob team,

I came across a website (emibella.com) that sells several high end designer purses at surprisingly low prices. They claim that they are new and authentic brand names, but slightly irregular. I’m not sure if this is valid since I know LV destroys any irregular bags, but they are selling quite a few LV options at almost half the regular price.

Have you heard anything about this website? Do you know if it’s safe to buy from them?

I have pasted their claim on the authenticity of their brands:
Emibella .com guarantees the authenticity on all of our products as they are irregular items, containing slight imperfections which are barely noticeable. All products are shipped to our warehouses directly from the manufacturers over seas. If you have further inquiries about our products, please do not hesitate to contact one of our customer service representatives at our toll-free number 888-388-8555 or e-mail our company to further assist you.

I would appreciate any information or help you could provide.

I love your site, so please take what I’m about to say as constructive criticism. I wanted to send ya’ll an email, but I couldn’t find a contact link.

This site loads slower than a stoned snail. Sometimes it takes a full 30 seconds just to load the front page! I know it’s not my internet connection, because most other sites take only a second or two to load. I’ve always heard that you start to lose visitors when your site takes more than 4 seconds to load.

Also, when I ctrl click a link to open in a new tab, it doesn’t load the page at all. It sends me to a blank page. I have to blindly click your links and just hope that they will open in a new tab lest I have to click back and wait for the previous page to ever so slowly reload. It’s very frustrating.

FYI, I’m using the chrome browser on a PC. I haven’t checked it out in other browsers, but you might want to.

Was wondering what you think of Chanel’s new ultra-soft suede day clutch from the 2011 Fall Pre Collection. I just purchased it in black. It’s my first Chanel bag & and would love to hear your opinion….With the cross body chain, it seems like it will be a versatile piece that can easily make the transition from day to night. However, it’s a little non traditional (which is why I like it!). Do you think I would be better off purchasing one of their more traditional bags? What are your thoughts?

Hello! Your site never disappoints! I always check into to find the latest inspiration (sounds better than “excuse”) to get myself a new bag. In any case, I’d like to know if you can help me identify the cross-body bag that Bar Refaeli wore when she went to an amusement park in Barcelona:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2040631/Bar-Refaeli-tucks-ice-cream-boyfriend-David-Fischer.html

I know, I know. It’s from the DailyMail but it’s a good resource for looking at the latest photos. Many thanks!

Hi! I first want to say that I love the site. I’ve followed it for the past year or so. It’s the first site I thought of for a new product review. It’s called NaturelEyes and it’s an amazing anti-wrinkle treatment that has natural ingredients, is light, works in a few minutes, and can be used under makeup. I personally use this product every day and would love to get Tina’s review on it. If you’re interested in reviewing NaturelEyes I’ll send you a sample kit to try out. I’m sure your readers would love to hear about it. You can find much more information about us at http://www.natureleyes.com. Thanks!

    Hello,

Wondering if either of you would be interested in doing an expose of Marc by Marc Jacobs bags. It pains me to write this, because he is absolutely one of my favorites and go to’s for fun, funky, functional bags and they have always been of the best quality. This year I have noticed that he has cut corners in the quality area. Prices of the bags are of course the same, however the material is cheap and rough to the touch. I feel so betrayed by him, but still can’t help but love him. I feel like we’ve been in this long term relationship then all of a sudden, out of nowhere…..betrayal. He has been my one and only love for quite some time and I have been faithful to him, season after season. Why Marc? I thought I could trust you, but you played me, you played all of us. Maybe we can change him, maybe he can go back to who he used to be, a creative genius who spared no expense in his creations. But now, I wouldn’t even fashion his purses on the neighborhood hobo. It’s that bad.

    Signed,

    Betrayed in the Bay

Hi! Is there something wrong with the site? As soon as I click on the ‘next page’ to see earlier entries in April, it jumps to the Jan. 12, 2012 (5 very colorful bags)entry always.

I can’t seem to view anything between the ‘newest’ entries and Jan. 12. I missed seeing a lot of entries.
