Jimmy Choo Malena

With all the bright bold colors of the season, I am starting to feel over stimulated. Which is why I am so drawn to this subtle shade of taupe from Jimmy Choo! It's calm and neutral, and after my latest purchase- an electric blue Tod's tote (my "Trend" bag of the season)- I really need a bit of settling down from all this color overload! While Jimmy Choo has not been my favorite brand in the past, it's one that I am slowly becoming a fan of. From the Carolina eel clutch to the Malena above in contrasting leather and suede; I see huge improvements at Choo from its first attempt at bags as I am sure you have. Though frame bags in general may seem a bit mature and restricting, I love juxtaposing it with a pair of old faded jeans and a funky blouse. After all, it's all about the attitude and how you carry the bag, not how the bag carries you. $1,975 at Net a Porter

  • Sorry, but this bag is not my type at all. It has too much of everything and it is too small for that all. I don´t even fancy the gleaming lack of color. Maybe the size is ok for you, but I am 5 ft 10 and would look ridiculous carrying this Choo bag. Even the price is too high IMO.

  • I am yet to be convinced about Jimmy's bags,I haven't seen anything spectacular from this brand,I love my bags being either totally fab and full of zips, pockets and in bold colors or very simple and therefore can't see myself with this one.

  • I wouldnt spend $ on Jimmy Choo bags, even if they were on sale for %75 off! The logo makes all the bags look cheap. You should only display a logo if you're from a coutoure house like Lanvin or YSL.

  • I am not a fan of Jimmy Choo but I agree that it is time for a taupe bag for me with all the brighly colored ready-to-wear I have been buying over the last few months.

  • the bag looks cheap, i think... sorry.. not my style at all... i can't find something special of it.

  • I like this color. I have never liked Jimmy Choo bags but the last couple of seasons have been improvements.

  • You're reaching Tina, and (I bet) not for this bag!

  • Why did Jimmy Choo name the bag after a gastrointestinal hemorrhage?

  • It's spelt "Melena" not "Malena".
