I cannot believe this is a Ferragamo because honestly, I am quite frightened by the rest of their bags for Fall. Without these details, this is just a generic frame but we all know it is all in the details - like the interwoven patent leather in the straps and the lucite clasp. Of course the most important detail is the python, an extremely lush quality python at that. All of which make this a very cool bag, so much so that I am seriously moved to buy. The best part is that for a python at this quality, it is pretty reasonable at $3150 - a very worthy investment. The rounded bubble shape is fresh and makes for a very roomy bag. The frame opens wide for easy access, which is always a huge consideration when buying a frame. The long strap makes it easy to go over the shoulder although for something like this you normally hold it in your hand. The bag is big enough, 15" x 12", for the long straps to look OK even if you do hold it in your hand. By far the best Ferragamo I've seen. At Saks Fifth Avenue for $3150.
I like this bag. It has an old-fashioned charm but is still very modern. Great that it is not too small. Python works well here. The price seems reasonable.
I love this! Oh my gosh, jet lagged and woke up at 6am :( At least it gives me time to work and give Kelly a break.
I remember we used to love Ferragamo platform heels in the '90s-- they had a few cool things and then went the way of granny chic again. This is a good bag, hopefully the indication of things to come in the future for the brand.
loving the python but not so sure about the long straps. but all in all I really like it.

I know the long straps have some aesthetic points against them, but I love their functionality, especially when chasing after kids. There is lots to like about this bag, the size looks like it would hold most of my stuff without getting in the way. Pretty much from the time the leaves start changing colour this bag would see heavy rotation. Near the top of my fall short list.

Of course we can say what we want about the bags&writers as long as it's good taste,I like when one's got wicked sense of humor and try not to take things too seriously. Putting everything else aside, I like the fact that Veronica has put her full name down and not tried to hide under a nickname.

As for the remark about having money does not mean one is a credible fashion writer-- if that was directly at Kelly-- I must defend her.
Kelly worked as an intern for Mark Eisen fresh out of college and lived in NYC for years (I showed up one summer and also interned there in exchange for free clothes-- what can I say, to a 22 year old having loads of free clothes seemed more important than a paycheck somehow! especially when your parents are still paying the bills).
She was eventually promoted to Project Manager and also was involved with producing the runway shows (including the job of holding Kate Moss' white mink coat- LOL) After leaving Mark Eisen, Kelly designed and manufactured a bag line and had one of the first Internet Boutiques in the 90's.
So regardless of whether or not she has money, she is a seasoned veteran of the fashion industry which qualifies her as a credible writer in my opinion. How many writers at Vogue or Elle have had this kind of hands on experience in the fashion industry? Her taste may not be the same as yours or even mine but it doesn't mean it's any less credible.
