I attended the Associates Committee of The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s Spring Party: “Safari at Sunset” at Gustavinos in NYC last week with my friend Tatiana Boncompagni . It was a beautiful event and I met all the girls I read about in the social pages– Michelle Smith of Milly(we were actually guests of Michelle and her husband and sat at their table– thank you, Michelle! Love MILLY!!), Tinsley Mortimer (so cute and petite in person and very sweet), and many many others. Everyone was dressed to the nines but all I noticed were the bags (but of course!). One clutch in particular caught my eye and I found out it was from Mary Norton– a red carpet favorite of Hollywood celebs (speaking of Red Carpets, we were given a spot on the Red Carpet at the Sex and the City premiere in NYC next week– Kelly will be there to interview SJP and cast at Radio City Music Hall and she’ll be attending the private after party at MoMA, too– stay tuned for exclusive SATC photos and interviews!!). The clutch was quite fancy but not over the top. Shimmering gold with embellishment, Mary Norton’s signature is called “Her Royal Highness”. HRH has shown up in the clutches of Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lopez, and American Fererra– now you can’t get more different than these ladies but somehow it works for each of them! Not so sure about the White glitter one-the clasp seem placed quite low. The HRH though-fantastic,reasonably priced [oh how I love my Pound this days;)] and with timeless appeal,won’t age for sure!

I love a clutch. I think clutches are my biggest bag impulse buys. I can’t get enough of them. These are definitely going to be finding their way into my closet. They have an heirloom feel that makes them classic but still modern and ironic. They look like the feel luscious as well.
