Sometimes I get bored with all the classic bags that are totally plain and without bells and whistles. Not that I want too too much, just an bit of an interesting twist and slightly on the fringe of what we normally do around here. This cheap thrill from Kooba is the perfect bag to get all that out of my system. It is totally trendy without being too young. And quite functional with the outer pockets and thick shoulder strap. I normally don't do black bags but this is a light sheen patent, making it even more current. I am all about color but for this, going too bright might ruin all the cool effects its got going on. Now that I'm hanging out with our young, hip interns, I feel like I gotta let go of that snob pretense and just have fun with buying what strikes my fancy. I'm sure when I get tired of this tomorrow, my interns won't mind giving it a new home. At
Neiman Marcus for $595.

I absolutely get your taste in bags Kelly! I am just about to buy a similar looking bag at Gerard Darel here in Paris. It's the classic 24hr tote but in the coolest metallic anthracite (but not black) shade in a stunning soft leather. It's not a cheapie either at 450 euros. It's just got an edge to it that I need at age 45. Need the edge, not the classic!
I agree with you ladies on this also. I have alot of classics and sometimes you want something edgy and fun to carry. This reminds me a little of Balenciaga.
Kelly, to be your intern would be a dream job! :) I'm in PA but am seriously considering sending you my CV/Resume.
