Still can’t find the ultimate summer blue bag? The House of Chanel goes mod with a classic French shade, Yves Klein Bleu, in a patent python classic chain bag. Yves Klein is the French artist who developed this shade of deep electric blue in 1958, and it has been known as International Klein Blue (IKB) in the art circle ever since. Now this is how to do an exotic skin! The color, the size, the shape. It’s so lustrous that the chain reflects against it! That sheen is like candy, and I want it. Now. Sad. Being poor still sucks.
I didn’t think I will need another Chanel bag but apparently I am wrong, uh. And with all the crazy prices now, this is actually not bad at all. I remember I bought my first Classic Chanel bag in black for $1200, what happened to these happy days?

I have so many classic Chanel flap and 2.55 bags I swore to myself, no more. But this is so amazing…. maybe when they make this in a tote? Would that not be just the ultimate?

Im a younger bag snob and not yet got a Chanel 2.55, I have two of the clutches with the CC clasp! Would this be a better investment, albeit a much smaller bag than the puffy zag in beautiful fushia!

Why are the lambskin and caviar leather 2.55s the same price as this exotic? I don’t believe this is actual python. This has to be python imprinted leather, right? My mind is boggled. The color is great however!

This is real python. It’s a lot smaller than the classic flap in lambskin or caviar. And thus the low price.

If this bag is the same one on the Chanel website, featured in the Spring-Summer 2008 collection, I’m afraid to disagree! My SA from Chanel in SF said the skin is not real python, but a python imprint on calfskin. And according to her, the price was $2895. If it’s real python skin, they wouldn’t be able to bring it in to the Chanel boutique in SF due to some animal protection law here; I would have to purchase it directly from the NY store.

Hi, i’m going to Paris next month. I want to buy a chanel bag that is classic but still youthful-looking (i’m 27). I was browsing chanel website, i like this plum-colored patent calfskin which i think is 2.55 but i cannot see the price. Do you guys have any suggestion which bag should i buy, and is it better to buy in individual channel boutique or lafayette gallery, or it doesn’t matter? Thanks for the help.
