Thank you to all the amazing girls who showed up to support Genesis Women's Shelter at our Bags and Bubbly event last week! Your efforts were greatly appreciated and we sold lots of bags, jewelry, and shoes! Thank you to Suze restaurant for the yummy desserts and champagne! Photos of the party after the jump!!! Don't forget to come see Kelly and me at the Oscar de la Renta boutique on Melrose in LA on May 20th, 5-8pm, for another fabulous Bags and Bubbly event!

The frenzy begins! What to buy what to buy?

I discovered I love helping people buy stuff and am quite good at it! Spending other people's money is FUN!

My friend Christine in the Larrabee bag from Oscar de la Renta I chose for her last year. It's stunning! I am carrying the fabulous Oscar de la Renta Doheny oversized clutch. And yes, I caved in and bought the adorable Blue silk faille bubble cocktail dress
from Oscar's Spring collection. It's one of my favorite dresses, ever! My three year old son said I looked like a princess, the best compliment I have ever received :)

Steven Mathieu, Retail Manager at Large, from Oscar de la Renta, the man who made all this happen! I am carrying the famed "Goya" bag. Final retail price, $4,750!!! The ultra soft and pliable stingray skin is amazing and unique. I can't wait to get mine, delivery slated for early August. Call Mindy at 214-346-0400 to get on the waitlist!

The goodies from Oscar (Christine's Larrabee bag, my Doheny clutch and blue bubble dress) just in case you're wondering where to get your hands on them. The navy cotton bustle dress is my next possible purchase. Oscar's dresses are so flattering and timeless!

What a dream! This must have been an amazing night. I love it all! That "Goya" bag is exquisite! How cool. I'd totally buy it if I weren't saving money to spend at Hermes for my birthday in June!
yay! i was wondering if you were going to post pictures of the event. looks like fun! and you look great - i recognize that fabulous outfit from your beautysnob post :)
that dress looks absolutely amazing on you. the color perfectly compliments your complexion.
im not skilled in matching things up (outfits, bags, accessories) so i always bought complete sets of outfits from head to toe with pieces my SAs recommend (to save myself the trouble). but after seeing you in photos and reading about the way you shop, i see myself getting slightly better and more brave when it comes to adding pieces to my closet. stil a very long long way to go but many many thanks to you!
BRAVO!!!!!! for U!!!!! I will see u in LA for sure!!! in mAy!! but u really MUST!! come to VEGAS!!!!! as well!! =)
Tina, you did look like a princess, but not one from an old fashion fairy tale but like modern, fresh and sexy one!
Loving your outfit, fantastically put together! You guys need to come to London!
xoxo
you are adorable! the event must have been a blast. can't wait until may, I will try to come down to LA to meet you both.
are those Loubies I spy on your feet? what a great choice with the bold dress and white clutch, does not compete and looks perfect.

I hope I am in the country then. It feels great to shop and contribute back to society. : )
KEEP IT UP TINA I AM HAPPY FOR YOU. YOU MIGHT BE THE NEXT VOGUE FOR HANDBAGS. and did you know your the only one that stands out from everyone just from the choice of color of your dress.
Wow,didn´t realize how petite and pretty you are !
Absolutely the size of the `Goya´bag is the largest you should ever carry, smaller ones are ok too.I believe that although big bags are fashionable at the moment, they look ridiculous if you are very small. Likewise, tiny bags carried by tall women(excluding a small evening clutch, which you can carry in your palm) look just as ridiculous.IMO the same goes with clothes;mini skirts look fine on petite ladies, but just below the knees are great for taller ones.Mid- calf pants fit taller girls better. It is all about proportions and I have very strong opinions here.
I just love Christines Larrabee, it makes me weep i have not been able to get the oxides python!!!!
Your event looks fabulous, hope you raised lots of money, ALBEIT I COULDN'T BE THERE I WAS GLAD I COULD MAKE A CONTRIBUTION BY PURCHASING THE ORANGE OISTRICH DOHENY CLUTCH!!!
Tina you looked fabulous!!!

Thank you, girls. Yes, I am tres petite :)
Lottie! I love that you were there in spirit with your Orange Ostrich Doheny clutch purchase! Lottie joined us all the way from London via phone and purchase :)
We plan to pick a local women's shelter in each city we do Bags and bubbly events at. As I told the journalist from Dallas morning news, "Women empowering other women through shopping" :)

I remember the Larrabee in brown patent from the winter, now I only see it in python, and I just cannot get another python bag...but I love that shape...is he doing it in leather or patent for spring?
That sounds great Tina, not sure that stretchs to London, but I will try and make it to one of your events even if I have to hop over the pond!!!
Do you have many people from London that view your site, I have only managed to notice Lina!!!

How cute are you! I am so sad I missed the event. that dress is stunning on you and I agree with Fashion in the making, you completely stood outin that dress and color.
You have the tiniest waist I've ever seen. Actually, you have tiny everything! Just adorable!
What a lovely event, looks like you had a fabulous time!! You look absolutely glowing!
Hi Melissa,
He is doing it for Spring in white leather and chocolate leather. No more metallic python :(
It's such a stunning bag, but too big for me. I love the Doheny bags and clutches and the original Fairfax. Yum!
