3.1 Phillip Lim Tally Tote

Happy Friday everyone! I have the perfect weekend throw around bag for you. I have been buying all these bags that I need to be careful and precious about so I am feeling like I need something easy and low maintenance, one that I won't mind beating up. And although this bag is quite giant, you can still use it during the week - it is highly practical for work, school and moms who need to throw everything they own in their bag. I love the contrasting two-tone navy and tan, it is easy with summer colors and really adds a punch. Phillip Lim bags have been selling out everywhere, the price point is key, this bag is only $725 for exquisite soft leather and the styling is easy, relaxed and chic. My weekend getaways require actual giant suitcases, but for you young gals who have exciting overnighter dates, this would be absolutely perfect. You can show up to work the next day and nobody would know you're toting yesterday's outfit and a toothbrush. For this bag, I would keep the strap on, which is unusual because the first thing I do is remove the shoulder strap from bags like this and toss it somewhere in my closet never to be found again. At Net a Porter for $725.

  • This bag is growing on me. When I first saw it, I thought it was too nondescript, but after reading your entry with it, I'm totally sold. I'm such a sucker for consumerism! In my quest for Hermes I am discovering the joy is fine leather!

  • totally LOVING it!! good pick, bagsnob kelly!

  • This bag is truly huge in person. I wish I could carry it every day. I love the red, too.

  • Hm.. Interesting bag. I would remove the shoulder strap. I think it's hipper and sportier. I am in that phase now because of golf. It does look like a "I can throw it on the floor and not care bag". I never really care for the camel/black combo until my sis got the Hermes Herbag in black/camel combo.

  • I love this! I wonder how large it is.. If it is large enough, I think even guys can carry it!

  • that color, cant make anything of it.

  • I love this ... "only" $725.00. and for what is basically a leather tote bag! Unbelievable!

  • Could you comment on how heavy this bag is? I am hoping it's on the lighter side based on the description of the leather and the lack of hardware. I (and my back and shoulders) can't deal with all those bags that feel like they have a bowling ball in them when they're empty. Thanks!
